Actor Uche Odoputa Cries Out As Unknown Gunmen Kidnaps His Father

Veteran Nollywood actor and producer, Uche Odoputa has cried out for help after unknown gunmen kidnapped his aged father, Kenneth Odoputa. Uche Odoputa took to his Instagram page to share a photo of his abducted father while pleading with friends and followers for their prayers.

Uche Odoputa also noted that his families have been making efforts to rescue his father from his abductors since he was kidnapped over two weeks ago.

According to his words; “Friends please join me in praying for my father safe return from the hands of kidnappers that took him for over 2weeks now 🙏 Mr Kenneth Odoputa” he wrote.

Uche Odoputa is a famous Nollywood actor, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He was born on 23rd September 1969 in Orlu, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 48 years old. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented.

Uche Odoputa is originally from Orlu, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

In 2000, Uche Odoputa joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and started attending movie audition and acting as a minor character in movies. He was about to become a popular Nollywood actor when he encountered a problem that drained his chances of becoming a popular Nollywood actor.

In 2007, Uche Odoputa was arrested, convicted and sentenced to eight months imprisonment for drug trafficking. The case was later resolved and he was set free from prison. During an interview with sun newspaper, Uche Odoputa stated that it was Nollywood comic actor John Okafor (Mr. Ibu) and late Nollywood movie producer Amaka Igwe that took care of him while he was still in prison.

He regretted his action and stated that he was introduced into the illegal drug business by some individuals who took advantage of his desperation to make money. According to him, the incident affected his growth in Nollywood.

He further stated that he came out from prison as a change person and had to struggle from scratch to build his legacy, reputation and earn back the dignity he had lost due to the horror incident.

Uche Odoputa is currently one of the most talented actors in Nigeria. He knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any character given to him by a movie director. Uche Odoputa is currently married with beautiful kids and is currently based in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria with his family.

Uche Odoputa has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies which include The Captor, Odum Na Akweke, Eyes of the Eagles, Shakara, Eviction Day, Brothers War, Last Flight to Abuja, 15 Years of Slavery, Caro the Shoemaker, Pains of Poverty, Dirty Marriage, Royal Wedding, Take my Wife, Deep Shit, Ortega and his Enemies, etc.

Uche Odoputa in the cause of his acting career has won several awards which include Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Award, Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Actor in Nigeria at the Golden Icon Movie Academy Awards and Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.
