Adekunle Gold Advise Parents That The Notion Boys Will Be Boys Is A Lazy Parenting Strategy

Popular Nigerian high-life singer and songwriter, Adekunle Kosoko, professionally known as Adekunle Gold, on Monday 24th February 2020, advised parents to raise their children properly. Adekunle Gold encourages support for a rape victim and notes that the responsibility of protecting women from rapists is a shared-duty.

The king of Afro-urban took to his official twitter page to advice parents on proper child upbringing. He appealed to parents to take responsibility for the actions of their male children, condemning the trend of stereotyping their lifestyle with the popular saying “boys will be boys”, and also noted that it is a lazy parenting strategy.

According to his words; “Boys will be boys” is a lazy parenting strategy. If you have a child, you have a responsibility to raise them properly” he wrote.

However, some of his followers on twitter expressed mixed feelings about his comment and took to his comment section to air their opinion on the topic.

Adekunle Gold was born into the Kosoko royal family of Lagos State, Nigeria and got married to simi in a glamorous ceremony in 2019. Adekunle Gold, who kick starts this new year with a new impressive single titled “Jore” featuring Kizz Daniels has gained widespread attention after the release of his first hit single “Sade” back then in 2015.
