Air Peace Chairman Onyema Begs Igbos To Cooperate With Buhari So That He Can Release Nnamdi Kanu

Air Peace Chairman Onyema begs Igbos to cooperate with Buhari so that he can release Nnamdi Kanu. The Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema has expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari would release Nnamdi Kanu, a pro-Biafra activist very soon. Onyema said Buhari would release Nnamdi Kanu if approached properly.

The business mogul made the statement at an event in Lagos over the weekend. Onyema stressed that the president is not against the South East and the Igbo’s in general. He urged the people of the South East to use wisdom in the fight against injustice.

According to the words of Onyema; “This president, President Muhammadu Buhari, quote me, I will say it again, he is not against Ndigbo. If you approach him the right way, he will listen.

“President Muhammadu Buhari will one day release our brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Myself, I don’t know Buhari but I have put forward certain requests, and he honored them. He honored my requests,” he stated.

This is coming at a time when Buhari visited Imo State, after criticisms of ignoring the South East. Before his trip to Imo state, Buhari was criticized for marginalizing the Igbos in his government. Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu is locked up by the Department of State Services (DSS) following his rearrest in Kenyan and extradition to Nigeria.
