As Long As Buhari Remain In Power ESN Remain In Nigeria – Nnamdi Kanu Declared

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) and commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) has restated that the group security outfit, Eastern Security Network (ESN) was established to fight criminal elements as the entire nation suffers insecurity. It will be recall that the group had been accused by security forces in Nigeria of attacking the security operatives in the South East to pave way for the actualization of the Republic of Biafra.

The security agencies recently vowed to clamp down on the group, alleging that they were responsible for the activities of the unknown gunmen wreaking havoc in the region.

However, the Biafra freedom fighters have repeatedly dismissed the claim, stating that IPOB and its security wing had not involved themselves in any criminal activity.

Nnamdi Kanu insisted that the ESN was established to protect the Igbos from external forces, particularly the Fulani herdsmen who have several times clashed with farmers in the region, destroying crops, raping innocent women and killing people.

In a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday night, Nnamdi Kanu restated that the security outfit was created out of necessity stating that it would continue to protect the Igbos from all forms of criminalities.

The tweet reads; “Again ESN was created out of necessity. As long as Buhari’s regime continues to kill and abduct Biafrans across the South East! ESN will continue to protect Igbo people from the brutal attacks of terrorists, bandits and Fulani herdsmen”.

Nnamdi Kanu stated that no matter the forces attacking us ESN will grow stronger and that as long as Buhari remains in power ESN will continue to exist in Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu has also reacted to reports that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) is after security agencies in Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu disclosed that ESN is not fighting the Army, police and Department of State Services (DSS), rather ESN is fighting criminals, armed bandits, terrorists and Fulani herdsmen.

In a tweet, the IPOB leader insisted that ESN was after bandits and killer herders in the South East. He stressed that the security outfit was set up to tackle terrorists in the South East.

Nnamdi Kanu tweeted; “I want to make this clear, ESN is not after security agents. ESN is focused on stopping terrorists who are rampaging our communities. The sole duty of the ESN is to resist the attacks of the terrorists, bandits and Fulani herdsmen against Biafrans in Biafra land. There’s no way IPOB would fold its hands and watch terrorists with an evil agenda decimate our communities while the government maintains criminal silence!” Nnamdi Kanu stated.
