Benedict Johnson is a famous Nollywood actor, model, producer, director, musician and a television personality. He was born and bred in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. He is born into a royal family of eight children. He is very handsome, skillful, creative, gifted and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.
Benedict Johnson is originally from Isu, a small village in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing his primary and secondary school education, Benedict Johnson proceeded to Abia State University in Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.
Benedict Johnson is currently married to Ann Johnson, a native of Edo State in the south southern part of Nigeria and together they are blessed with two beautiful kids. Benedict Johnson was a member of a music group known as “Dready Boys”. He later left the group and went solo.
In 1992, Benedict Johnson ventured into acting. He joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 1992 and acted in his first movie “Living in Bondage” a movie that brought Nollywood to limelight. The movie “Living in Bondage” skyrocket him to fame and gave him public recognition.
Benedict Johnson has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies which include Living in Bondage, 40 Days in the Wilderness, Sweet Money, Critical Truth, The Carcass, Behind the Plot, Brain Box, Endless Night, Last Challenge, My Fiancée, My Love My Sorrow, etc.
Benedict Johnson is a versatile actor. He can fit in any role given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. He acts mostly in action, romantic, tragedy, comedy and sometimes as a pastor in Nollywood movies alongside with top Nollywood celebrities. He is very talented and knows how to interpret his role very well.
Benedict Johnson in the cause of his acting career has won several awards which include Best Supporting Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Most Promising Actor at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Benedict Johnson is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $550,000.
