Majid Michel is a Ghanaian actor, producer, television personality, model and a philanthropist. He was born on 22nd September 1980 in a military cantonment in Accra, Ghana to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian mother. He is currently 37 years old. He grew up in Accra with his nine siblings. He is very handsome.
Majid Michel attended St. Theresa’s Primary School in Accra, Ghana and obtained his first school leaving certificate. After that he went to Mfantsipim School in Accra, Ghana alongside with his friend and collides in the movie industry Van Vickers. While in secondary school, Majid Michel was actively involved in theater club and was an active member of the school Drama Club. As a member of the drama club, he received a Best Actor Award in one of their performances in Cape Coast, Ghana.
After obtaining his West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), Majid Michel proceeded to University of Ghana and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.
In 2000 Majid Michel joined the Ghanaian movie industry (Ghallywood) and starred in the television series “Things We Do for Love” which brought him to limelight. After which he was given a lead role in the movie “Divine Love” alongside with actress Jackie Appiah and actor Van Vickers.
The huge success of the movie “Divine Love” made Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah and Van Vickers a household name in Ghana. In 2008 Majid Michel acted in the blockbuster movie “Agony of Christ” which won him 7 nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
In 2009 Majid Michel became famous in Nigerian after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Silent Scandal” alongside with Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji.
In 2012 Majid Michel won the Best Actor Award in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. He is currently married to Virna Michel and the couple is blessed with beautiful kids.
In 2014, Majid Michel acted in the blockbuster movie “30 days in Atlanta” and was awarded as one of the highest box office grosser.
Majid Michel has acted in more than 80 movies in both Ghana and Nigeria which include Chelsea, Agony of Christ, Silent Scandal, Divine Love, Forbidden Fruit, etc.
Majid Michel is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Ghana with an estimated net worth of $1.6 million.
