Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known by his stage name as Patoranking is a famous Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, songwriter, recording artiste, stage performer and a model. He was born on 27th May 1990 in Ijegun- Egba, Satellite Town, Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria. He is currently 27 years old.
He is very handsome, creative and talented. He is originally from Abakiliki in Ebonyi State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. But grew up in Ijegun- Egba, Satellite Town, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Patoranking completed his primary school education in Ijegun- Egba, Satellite Town, Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.
After his primary school education, Patoranking attended Citizen Comprehensive College in Epe, Lagos, Nigeria and later completed his secondary school education at Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School in Iponri, Lagos, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.
He started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. In 2010, Patoranking signed a record deal contract with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records and released his hit single “Up in D Club” under K-Solo’s Igberaga Records label.
Patoranking was later signed into Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song “Alubarika”. In a 2012 interview with Entertainment Express, Patoranking said that his stage name was given to him by a Jamaican artiste whom he met at Alpha Beach in Lagos, Nigeria.
In February 2014, Patoranking signed a record deal contract with Foston Musik and released his greatest hit single “Girlie O” a song that brought him to limelight.
On 9th February 2015, Patoranking announced via Instagram that he signed a distribution deal with VP Records. In January 2016, Patoranking was announced as one of the judges for the maiden edition of the singing competition Voice of Nigeria.
On 1st August 2016, Patoranking released his first debut studio album “God Over Everything” with guest appearance from Phyno, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, Olamide, Timaya and others.
In 2014, Patoranking won the award for Best Reggae/Dance Hall Artiste and Best Pop Song at the Headies Awards. In 2015, Patoranking won the award for African Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. In 2016, Patoranking won the award for Best Reggae/Dance Hall Artiste of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards.
Patoranking is currently one of the richest and most influential artiste in Nigeria with a net worth of $6 million.
