Walta Angapukotanka Kalada popularly known as Walta Anga is a famous Nollywood actor, model, television personality and a philanthropist. He was born on 12th January 1978 in Port-Harcourt, River State in the south southern part of Nigeria to Chief Stephen Anga and Mrs. Evelyn Anga. He is currently 40 years old. He is the third child in a family of five children.

He is originally from Ogu, a small village in Ogu/Bolo local government area of River State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is very handsome, gifted, creative, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers.

Walta Anga completed both his primary and secondary school education in Port-Harcourt, River State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his primary and secondary school education, Walta Anga proceeded to University of Port-Harcourt in River State in the south southern part of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. In 2000, while still in the university campus, Walta Anga was awarded for Best Supporting Actor on Stage after his outstanding performance in a play titled “EDUFA”

After his graduation from the university, in 2002, Walta Anga joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in his first movie “Labista” as a supporting character alongside with Emma Ehumadu, Jerry Amilo and Ernest Asuzu. The success of the movie “Labista” gave him an advantage in Nollywood.

After featuring in his first movie, Walta Anga went to Enugu and continues hustling for movie roles, though he couldn’t get good roles because of issues beyond his control. He got back to Port-Harcourt and was encouraged by his late brother, Barrister Ishmael Anga and his mum never to relent or lose focus in the pursuit of his dreams.

In 2003, Walter Anga went back to Enugu and met with Nollywood actor Nonso Diobi, Emma Ehumadu and Nollywood movie director Ifeanyi Ogbonna. In 2003, Walta Anga rose to fame after featuring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “New Jerusalem” which was produced by Kingsley Ukaegbu and directed by Ifeanyi Ogbonna.

Walta Anga has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include New Jerusalem, Labista, Mission Impossible, Heart of a Fighter, Deep Water, But I Love You, Brothers Battle, Dance of Grace, Extreme Measure, etc. He is currently one of the most handsome, most gifted, most skillful, most creative and most talented actors in Nigeria. He acts mostly in action and romantic movies alongside with Ebube Nwagbo, Mercy Johnson, Tonto Dikeh, Ino Edo, Rita Dominic and host of other top actresses in Nigeria.

In 2009, Walta Anga got married to his beautiful wife Esther Anga and the marriage is currently blessed with two beautiful kids namely Tyrese Anga and Troy Anga. Walta Anga is very handsome and irresistible to girls in Nigeria. During an interview with media, he confessed that he had been sexually harassed by girls, but has managed to overcome the temptation by God grace.

Walta Anga in the cause of his acting career has been nominated and won several movie awards in Nigeria which include Best Actor of the Year at the City People’s Entertainment Awards, Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and Best Supporting Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Walta Anga is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $450,000.
