Helen Ukpabio is a famous Nollywood actress, producer, evangelist, television personality and a philanthropist. She is popularly known for playing the role of pastor, evangelist, deaconess or minister of God in Nollywood movies. She was born in the early 1960s in the village of Mbente in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.
She is currently in her 50s. Helen Ukpabio is originally from Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria, but was born and bred in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is very gifted, creative, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors.
Helen Ukpabio attended St. George’s Catholic School in Falomo and completed her primary school education in Jinadu Anglican School in Obalende, both in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Helen Ukpabio proceeded to Methodist Girls’ High School in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.
She is currently married to Dr. Elijah Ukpabio and the marriage is blessed with three lovely children. In 1992, Helen Ukpabio founded Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries with the aim of spreading the word of God to the people worldwide with it headquarter based in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.
In 1999, Helen Ukpabio joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and established her film production company “Liberty Films” which she uses in exposing satanic kingdoms to the world. Her movies feature her along side with top Nollywood celebrities.
Helen Ukpabio has produced and acted in more than 80 Nollywood movies which include End of the Wicked, Married to a Witch, High Way to the Grave, The Coven, etc. Her movies are based on exposure of witchcraft, witches and wizard, fight against principalities of power and exposure of God supernatural power.
She always plays the role of a pastor, evangelist, deaconess or minister of God in Nollywood movies. Her movies focus on exploiting superstitious beliefs, especially those related to spiritual or demonic possession or witchcraft. Helen Ukpabio in the cause of her acting career has been nominated for Best Actress and Producer in Nigeria at the African Movie Academy Awards.
