Kate Henshaw Nuttal popularly known as Kate Henshaw is a famous Nollywood actress, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. She was born on 19th July 1971 in Calabar, Cross River State in the south southern part of Nigeria. She is currently 46 years old. She is very beautiful, gifted, creative and talented.
She is originally from Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria. She is the oldest child in the family of 4 children. She completed her primary school education in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After which she completed her secondary school education in Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing her secondary school education, Kate Henshaw proceeded to University of Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Microbiology.
After which she proceeded to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and completed her course in Medical Lab Science. Kate Henshaw has worked at the Bauchi State General hospital as a medical laboratory scientist and special attendant.
In 1993, Kate Henshaw joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) after auditioning for the lead role in the movie “When the Sun Sets”. After that she went on to feature in several movies in Nigeria.
Kate Henshaw is currently one of the most talented actresses in Nigeria. She knows how to interpret her roles very well and can fit in any character given to her by a movie director.
Kate Henshaw has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies which include Touch My Heart, The Harlot, Dangerous Silence, The Legend, Canal Desire, Sun Sets, Stronger than Pain, The Meeting, Above Death, Couples Award, Games Men Play, etc. Kate Henshaw is currently an ambassador and the Face of Onga. She is also a judge on Nigeria’s Got Talent Hunt Show.
In 2008, Kate Henshaw won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Award for her role in the movie “Stronger than Pain” alongside with Emeka Ike. In 2000, Kate Henshaw got married to her long time boyfriend Rod Nuttal and the marriage is blessed with a beautiful daughter named Gabrielle Nutall.
Kate Henshaw in the cause of her acting career has won several awards which include Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Award, Most Prominent Actress in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Actress of the Year at the Golden Icon Movie Academy Awards and Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.
