Uche Jombo Rodriguez popularly known as Uche Jombo is a famous Nollywood actress, model, screenwriter, television personality, film producer and a philanthropist. She was born on 28th December 1979 in Abiriba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 38 years old.
Uche Jombo completed both her primary and secondary school education in Abiriba, Abia State, Nigeria and obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. After completing her primary and secondary school education, Uche Jombo proceeded to University of Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
After obtaining her first degree in Mathematics and Statistics from University of Calabar, Uche Jombo proceeded to Federal University of Technology in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria where she studies Computer Programming.
In 1999, Uche Jombo joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in her first movie “Visa to Hell” a movie that brought her to limelight. Uche Jombo is very beautiful, intelligent, creative and talented. She knows how to interpret her roles very well and can fit in any role given to her by a movie director.
Uche Jombo is also a script writer and a producer. As a screenwriter she has written and co-written several movies which include The Celebrity, Games Men Play, Lies Men Tell, Nollywood hustlers, etc. Uche Jombo has also produced several movies which include Nollywood Hustlers, Holding Hope, Work Damage, Lagos Cougars, Mrs. Somebody, etc.
In 2013, Uche Jombo signed an endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunication worth millions of naira and automatically became a GLO ambassador. Uche Jombo has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies which include Visa to Hell, Girls Hostel, Fire Love, Endless Lies, Scout, Nollywood Hustlers, Holding Hope, Lagos Cougars, Mrs. Somebody, Lies Men Tell, Work Damage, etc.
In 2008, Uche Jombo won the award for Best Actress of the Year at the Afro Hollywood Awards in United Kingdom. In 2011, Uche Jombo was nominated for Best actress of the Year for her role in the Nollywood blockbuster movie Damage at the Best of Nollywood Awards. In 2014, Uche Jombo was nominated for the Best Actress in a leading role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
In 2015, Uche Jombo won the award for Best Actress of the Year at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards. Uche Jombo has also won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and Most Prominent Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
In 2012, Uche Jombo got married to an American/Puerto Rican born man named Kenney Rodriguez and the marriage is blessed with a beautiful kid named Matthew Rodriguez.
Uche Jombo is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $2 million.
