Blossom Chukwujekwu Biography and Net Worth

Chukwudi Echezona Blossom Chukwujekwu popularly known as Blossom Chukwujekwu is a popular Nollywood actor, television personality and a model. He was born on 4^th November 1983 in Benin City, Edo State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 34 years old. He is the first son out of the two sons from the family. He is a native of Otolo, Nnewi North in Anambra State in south eastern part of Nigeria.

He attended Greater Tomorrow Primary School in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After which he proceeded to Greater Tomorrow Comprehensive College in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his primary and secondary school education, Blossom Chukwujekwu proceeded to Anambra State University of Science and Technology to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. He spent only a year in Anambra State University of Science and Technology and completed his studies at Benson Idahosa University in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication in July 2008.

While in Benson Idahosa University in Benin City, he was the President of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOS) in the 2007/2008 session. He was also an active member of the popular House of Theatre (H.O.T) where he played the lead character in the stage drama “Godless”.

During an interview with the media, Blossom Chukwujekwu maintains that playing the role of Ukemu in the stage drama “Godless” was his greatest moment and the inspiration from that drama gave him the urge to become a professional actor in his career.

A few months later, after graduating from the university, Blossom Chukwujekwu moved to Lagos, Nigeria to perform his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) obligations. After completing his national youth service, Blossom Chukwujekwu decided to stay back in Lagos to pursue his acting ambitions.

After attending several movie auditions in Lagos, Blossom Chukwujekwu landed the lead role in the popular Nigeria soap opera “Portrait of Passion” in 2009. That same year he was cast in his first feature film “Private Storm” alongside with Nollywood famous actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Nollywood famous actor Ramsey Nouah. That movie made him popular and brought him to limelight.

In 2012, Blossom Chukwujekwu landed another lead role in a blockbuster movie “Flower Girl” which was his major breakout movie. That same year in 2012, Blossom Chukwujekwu was profiled on Africa Magic’s Nollywood show “Jara” as one of the top 5 actors to watch out for in 2013. He was number 4 on ace Nollywood director, Charles Novia’s, list of the best actors of 2013.

The movie “Flower Girl” was released in 2013. It achieved critical and commercial success in Nigeria, Ghana, United Kingdom and film festivals in the United States of America and Canada. Chukwujekwu’s next block buster feature film was “Finding Mercy”. The movie was one of the most anticipated and most successful movies of 2013. It was the closing film at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF 2013) in 2013.

In 2014, his blockbuster movie “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” opened in cinemas nationwide on 18^th April 2014. Blossom Chukwujekwu performance as the abusive and emotionally volatile “Moses” in the movie “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” won him a prestigious award as the Best Supporting Actor at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2015.

Blossom Chukwujekwu has acted in more than 80 Nollywood movies which include Flower Girl, Finding Mercy, Knocking on Heaven’s Door, The Visit, A Place Called Happy and Ghana Must Go alongside with popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro.

Blossom Chukwujekwu has also featured in a handful of television dramas and series which include Tinsel, Shuga, My Mum and I, About to Wed and Married. Chukwujekwu plays the lead role of Kelechi Pepple in Nigeria’s first indigenous Telenovella “Taste of Love” in 2015.

On 19^th December 2015, Blossom Chukwujekwu got married traditionally to his long time girlfriend, Maureen and the marriage is blessed with beautiful kids.

In 2013, Blossom Chukwujekwu was nominated for Best Actor in a Lead Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards. That same in 2013, he was nominated for Best New Actor at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards. That same year in 2013, he was also nominated for Most Outstanding Male actor at the Abuja International Film Festival.

In 2014, Blossom Chukwujekwu was nominated for Best Rising Star at the Nollywood Movie Awards. That same in 2014, he was nominated for Best Lead Male Actor at the Nollywood Movie Awards. That same year in 2014, Blossom Chukwujekwu was nominated for Most Promising Actor at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards. That same in 2014, Blossom Chukwujekwu was also nominated for Revelation of the Year at the Best of Nollywood Awards.

In 2015, Blossom Chukwujekwu won the Best Supporting Actor at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. That same year in 2015, Blossom Chukwujekwu also won the Golden Actor in a Lead Role at the Golden Movie Awards.

Blossom Chukwujekwu is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $700,000.
