Nigerian music star and African giant Burna Boy has emerged as the winner for Best African Act at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) which was held in Seville, Spain on Sunday 3rd November 2019. It was indeed a night for women on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards which held in Seville, Spain. The event was hosted by the beautiful Becky G.
When nominations were announced, American superstar Ariana Grande led the way with 7 nominations. On that night, awards were dominated by women. But unfortunately, Ariana Grande didn’t win any award. The big winners on the night were BTS with three awards. 
Also going home with awards are Halsey, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish who won two awards each. Shawn Mendes also won Best Artist.
While Nigerian superstar and African giant Burna Boy took home the award for Best African Act. Performers in MTV EMA award night include, Akon, Halsey, Niall Horan, Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Green Day and more.
