Charles Inojie Biography and Net Worth

Charles Inojie is a famous Nollywood comic actor, director, producer, comedian, television personality and a philanthropist. He was born on 4th March 1970 in the village of Urowa, a small village near Emu, Edo state in south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 47 years old.

Charles Inojie grew up with his grandmother whom he owe so much gratitude to and spent his childhood days with. Charles Inojie completed both his primary and secondary school education in Edo State, Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his secondary school education, Charles Inojie wanted to study Law in school but later changed his mind in 1992 and decided to pursue a career in acting after discovering his talent. He joined different dramatic and theatre clubs in his local town and started performing stage drama.

In 1992, Charles Inojie decides to acquire more knowledge in the field of acting. He enrolls for a one year acting program in Bode Osoyin’s Writers Resort, where he obtained a certificate course in Dramatic Arts after completing the program in 1993.

After obtaining a certificate in acting, Charles Inojie proceeded to University of Port Harcourt in River State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dramatic and Theatre Arts in 1999. After completing his university studies, Charles Inojie travelled to Lagos to pursue his acting career professionally.

He joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 1999 and started out as an assistant movie director before venturing full time into acting and movie directing. He acts mostly in comedy movies. He is very talented, creative and funny with a high sense of humor. In an interview with the media, he stated that after graduating from the University of Port Harcourt in 1999, he relocated to Lagos State, Nigeria and became the assistant director at Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen Production Company.

Charles Inojie has directed and acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies which include Police Recruit, Mr. Sabinus, Keke Soldiers, The Master, Native Fowl, Nollywood Hustlers, Cooperate Maid, Caught in the Act, Open and Close, Money for Hand, The Counselor, Peter and Paul, The Master, Husband My Foot, etc.

Charles Inojie is very famous for his hilarious role in the popular television comedy series “The Johnsons” alongside with Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki). On 17th November 2012, Charles Inojie got married to the love of his life Obehi Obhiseh in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and the marriage is blessed with two beautiful kids.

In 2016, members from the Screen Writers Guild of Nigeria (SWGN) unanimously appointed Charles Inojie as president of their labor union. Charles Inojie has won several movie awards which include Best Comic Actor of the Year at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Best Actor in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards.

Charles Inojie is currently one of the richest and most influential actor and movie director in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $5 million.
