Chiege Alisigwe Biography and Net Worth

Chiege Alisigwe is a famous Nollywood actress, model, television personality and a philanthropist. She was born in Orlu, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is one of the most gifted and most talented actresses in Nigeria. She is originally from Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State in south eastern part of Nigeria.

She is the last child in a family of eleven children. She started acting at a very tender age right from her primary school days. Chiege Alisigwe completed both her primary and secondary school education in Orlu, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and obtained both her First Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

While still in secondary school, Chiege Alisigwe was an active athlete and can run very fast. After completing her primary and secondary school education, Chiege Alisigwe proceeded to Oko Polytechnic in Anambra State, Nigeria and obtained her National Diploma (OND) in Fine and Applied Arts.

After obtaining her National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts from Oko Polytechnic in Anambra State, Chiege Alisigwe proceeded to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu, Nigeria and graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fine and Applied Arts.

In 1998, Chiege Alisigwe joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “My Love” alongside with Ramsey Noah. After the success of the movie “My Love” Chiege Alisigwe rose to fame and became a public figure in Nigeria.

Chiege Alisigwe has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include Not Your Wealth, Terrible Sin, One Dollar, Keeping Close, Occultic Kingdom, Oganigwe, Broken Engagement, etc. She is one of the most sought after actress in Nigeria. She is very good in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any role given to her by a movie director.

In 2002, Chiege Alisigwe got married to a police officer, Tony Ebbe and has a daughter with him. Unfortunately, her marriage with Tony Ebbe lasted for three months and ended up in a divorce. However, Chiege Alisigwe is no longer active in movie acting and this has caused many of her fans to complain of their inability to see her in new movies. She is currently involved and focused on her NGO project.

Chiege Alisigwe has a nongovernmental organization (NGO) which she uses to create awareness about harmful disease and helping less privilege and people leaving with disability.

Chiege Alisigwe in the cause of her acting career has won several awards which include Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best Actress of the Year at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Nollywood Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards.

Chiege Alisigwe is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $400,000.
