Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki is a famous Nollywood comic actor, producer, entrepreneur, comedian and a television personality. He was born on 12th December 1977 in Bende local Government of Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 43 years old. His parents’ names are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ikedieze Ogbonna. He completed his primary and secondary education in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and went further to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu where he graduated with a National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication.
Chinedu Ikedieze joined the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood in 2000 and rose to fame in 2003 after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster comic movie “Aki na Ukwa” a comedy movie he starred alongside with Osita Iheme, where he played the role of Aki. The movie brought him to limelight and made him a public figure.
In 2007, Chinedu Ikedieze received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for Most Accomplished Actor in Nigeria. He has also received an award for Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. He has often been described as one of the best actors of his generation and also one of Nigeria’s most famous comic actors known all over the world.
Chinedu Ikedieze aside from acting is also an entrepreneur and a serial investor and has several real estate investments business and several other businesses in his portfolio. He is currently a GLO ambassador and currently playing the role of Efe in the television series “The Johnsons” which began airing on television since 2016.
In December 2011, Chinedu Ikedieze got married to Miss Nneoma Nwaijah, a Fashion Designer and in 2012 there had their first child, a baby girl. Their wedding ceremony was attended by several celebrities, public figures and important dignitaries from the Nigerian entertainment industry. After few years of marriage, Chinedu Ikedieze and his lovely wife Miss Nneoma Ikedieze got divorced and went their separate ways.
In 2011, Chinedu Ikedieze received a national award by the Nigerian Federal Government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) which happens to be the highest award and honor given to a celebrity in Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the economic growth and development of the country through entertainment.
Chinedu Ikedieze in the cause of his acting career has acted in more than 170 Nollywood movies. Some of the movies he has acted include Aki na Ukwa, Tom and Jerry, Back From America, Nothing Spoil, Spanner, The Billionaires, The Johnsons, amongst others. His small size figure makes him to stand out amongst other actors and made him a unique actor in the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood.
Chinedu Ikedieze in the cause of his acting career has won several awards and recognitions. Some of the awards he has won include Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Best Actor at the Best of Nollywood Awards. He also has a charity organization and a foundation, which is aimed at helping and assisting physically challenge and displaced people. Chinedu Ikedieze currently has an estimated net worth of $3.6 million, making him one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria.
