Chioma Elizabeth Toplis popularly known as Chioma Toplis is a famous Nollywood actress, producer, television personality, entrepreneur, investor, businesswoman and a philanthropist. She is related to another popular Nollywood actor and past President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ejike Asiegbu.
She was born on 14th November 1972 in Umuahia, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 45 years old. She has both British and Nigerian nationality. She is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.
Chioma Toplis is originally from Umuahia, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. In 1979, she attended St Michaels Primary School in Umuahia, Abia State, Orji Town Primary School in Owerri, Imo State, Umuhu Central School in Umuahia, Abia State and completed her primary school education at 67 Infantry Battalion Primary School in Faulks Road, Aba, Abia State, all in Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate in 1985.
After completing her primary school education in 1985, Chioma Toplis proceeded to Ohuhu Community Secondary School Amaogwugwu, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate in 1990. After completing her secondary school education, Chioma Toplis relocated to United Kingdom and lived there for several years. While in the United Kingdom, she attended Valentine High School in London to study English Language and later enrolled at Barking and Dagenham College London, United Kingdom in 2003 to study Social Healthcare.
In 2004, she returned back to Nigeria and joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in her first movie “Stolen Bible” alongside with Nollywood famous actress Kate Henshaw. The movie “Stolen Bible” was successful and gave her an advantage in Nollywood and attracted her to movie producers and directors in Nigeria.
In 2005, Chioma Toplis rose to fame after playing the lead character in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Trinity” alongside with top actor Hanks Anuku, Val Nwigwe and Oge Okoye. Her appearance and role in the 2005 film “Trinity” alongside with Nollywood top actor Hanks Anuku, Val Nwigwe and Nollywood top actress Oge Okoye received positive reviews and made her a public figure in Nigeria.
Chioma Toplis is currently married to Andrew Toplis and the marriage is blessed with three beautiful children. She owns a house in London, United Kingdom and a house in Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. She has an interest in charity and is involved in the project “Home for the Elderly”.
Chioma Toplis is also a businesswoman with interest in clothing and cosmetics. She also owns a couple of shops in Lagos, Nigeria and London, United Kingdom. Chioma Toplis has acted in more than 80 Nollywood movies which include Stolen Bible, Trinity, The Carcass, The Lower Cut, Just One Blood, Saving Grace, etc. Chioma Toplis in the cause of her acting career has being nominated for Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Chioma Toplis is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $400,000.
