Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel popularly known by his stage name as Dammy Krane is a fast rising Nigerian Afro-Pop singer, composer, songwriter, stage performer and a recording artist. He was born on 10th December 1993 in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. He is currently 24 years old. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful and talented.

His father’s name is Oluwakemi Osodi, who was a manager in the fuji music industry at the time of his formative years. Dammy Krane completed both his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

In January 2012, at the age of 20 years old, Dammy Krane started his music career professionally and signed a record contract deal with Hypertek Digital and 960 Music Group. He rose to fame and became a public figure after releasing his hit single “My Dear”. Dammy Krane is popularly known for his melodic voice, engaging lyrics and his exciting genre of African alternative music.

On Friday 2nd June 2017, Dammy Krane was arrested in the United States of America reportedly for grand theft, credit card fraud and identity fraud. In the days that followed more allegations were reported that he had used a stolen credit card to book a private jet from the company Tap Jets while on holiday in Miami in the United States of America.

The company had detected the alleged fraud due to discrepancies in the credit card information he had provided. He was later released from prison in Miami after meeting his bail conditions, which was set at $7,500.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and demanded a trial by jury. Dammy Krane was later assigned an attorney and was billed to appear in court on 23rd June 2017. His mother maintained the innocence of her son blaming his troubles on the show promoter that booked his flight ticket. Luckily for him, in August 2017, American courts removed all charges leveled against him, including credit card forgery, armed robbery conspiracy and grand theft allegation filed against him.

Dammy Krane who started singing at the age of 6, joined the children’s church choir and ministered in various churches. He went to Providence Heights Secondary School in Lagos, where he was known for being an amazing dancer and performer. After graduating from secondary school, Dammy Krane concentrated on his music career and worked hard at his craft, eventually establishing himself as one of the best act to watch in the Nigerian music scene.

According to him, he was inspired by artistes like Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Lagbaja, King Sunny Ade, 2Face Idibia, D’Banj and Sauce Kid. He started recording songs on his own and performing at various university shows and events in Lagos, Nigeria. During an interview, he stated that he credits his signing to Hypertek Records to a chance of meeting with 2face Idibia at a birthday party. He says 2face Idibia had seen him perform and made the decision to sign him into the record label.

On 2nd June 2017, he was arrested in Miami, Florida in the United States of America for booking a Tapjets flight with a stolen credit card. He however came out in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account to deny his arrest and promised to reveal all that happened in a new material after his release.

Dammy Krane have released hit singles like Catch Feelings, I Like Girls, Tomorrow No Dey, Faleela, Our Body, On point, Oluwa Bless Me, amongst others. In 2010, he released his first debut studio album “Uni Girls”. In 2011, he released his second debut studio album “Pooner”. In 2012, he released his third debut studio album “Condom Sir”. In 2014, he released his fourth debut studio album “The Enterkraner”.

Dammy Krane in the cause of his career as a musician has received several awards and nominations. In 2012, he won the award for Rookie of the Year at the Headies Awards. That same year he was nominated for Next Rated at the Headies Awards.

Dammy Krane is currently one of the richest and most influential artist in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $500,000.
