Dede One Day Biography and Life History

Peter Onwuzurike Onyehidelam popularly known as Dede One Day is a famous Nollywood comic actor, master of ceremony, television personality, comedian, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He is one of Nigerian best comic actor known for his hilarious comedy movies, shows, events and audio tape.

He was born and raised in Aba, a small town in Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. Dede One Day is originally from Umuagwuru Mbieri, a small village in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, but was born and raised in Aba, a small town in Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.

Dede One Day completed both his primary and secondary school education in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

Dede One Day started his career as a stand-up comedian and master of ceremony (MC). Dede One Day rose to fame after releasing his comedy audio series “Laugh With Me” a comedy talk show which is very hilarious and causes comic relief.

After the success of his comedy audio series, Dede One Day joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in his first comedy movie “Joseph the Dreamer” alongside with Odera Nwobu. The success of the movie welcomed him to Nollywood with open arms and earned him a nomination for Best Comic Act to Watch at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Dede One Day is one of the best comic actors in Nigeria. He acts mostly in comedy movies alongside with late Sam Loco Efe, John Okafor, Charles Inojie, Charles Awurum, Victor Ozuagwu, Nkem Owoh and Chiwe Ntaluagu. He is gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He can fit in any role given to him by movie directors and knows how to interpret his roles in a comic manner.

Dede One Day has acted in more than 100 Nollywood movies which include Keke Soldiers, Iron Pant, Mortuary Attendant, Corporate Beggars, My Classmate, Professional Beggars, Village Musicians, Senior Officer, Joseph Oro Nro, Village Lawyer, Shoe Shiner, Our August Meeting, Ebola Doctor, etc. He acts mostly on comedy movies alongside with Odera Nwobu, late Sam Loco Efe, John Okafor, Charles Inojie, Charles Awurum, Victor Ozuagwu, Nkem Owoh and Chiwe Ntaluagu.

Dede One Day has won several awards which include Best Comic Act to Watch at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Actor in Comedy at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Best Comedian in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.

Unfortunately, on 14^th December 2015, Dede One Day died after he slumped while performing at an event in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. It was later discovered that Dede One Day tragic death was caused by complications of hypertension and high blood pressure.

Dede One Day was one of the richest and most influential comic actor in Nigeria before his death with an estimated net worth of $400,000.
