Emeka Ike is one of the most prominent actors in Nigeria. He has been in the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood for over two decades. He acts mostly in romantic and action thriller movies. Emeka Ike is a famous Nollywood actor, director, producer, investor, entrepreneur, television personality and a philanthropist. He always features in romantic movies.
He has been regarded as one of the highest paid actors in Nigeria and also one of the richest actors in Nigeria. He is always known for playing a lover boy in romantic movies and also acts as a Casanova, heart breaker and sometime cheating husband in several Nollywood romantic movies. He has been in the industry for over two decades. Sometimes he plays the role of a criminal and hitman in action thriller movies.
He was born on 17th March 1979 in Mbano, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria but grew up in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. He is currently 40 years old. Emeka Ike hails from Aba-branch in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He grew up in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary, secondary and tertiary education. His father, Elder Nicolas Ignatius Ike was a pastor before he died.
Emeka Ike is the second child in a family of five children. He attended Eko Primary School in Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After completing his primary school education, Emeka Ike proceeded to Apata Memorial High School in Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate. While still in secondary school, he was actively involved in drama, stage play and performing act. He was an active member of his school dramatic club where he displayed his massive skill in acting and interpretation of roles. 
After completing his secondary school education, Emeka Ike proceeded to University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Emeka Ike is an Engineer by profession but he decided to pursue a career in acting because of the passion he had for acting since he was still in secondary school. Before taking up acting professionally, Emeka Ike has work in several organization and conglomerate as an engineer in Lagos before deciding to take up acting full time as his professional career.
Emeka Ike has acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies. Some of the movies he has acted include Passions, Queen Sheba, Not Man Enough, Makers, Foreign Affairs, Divided Kingdom, Disguised, Peace Maker, Snake Girl, Warriors of Satan, The Love Doctor, Stronger Than Pain and many more. He is popularly known for his roles as a play boy or Casanova in several Nigerian Nollywood movies. Sometimes he is referred to as “Nollywood Badboi” by movie lovers because of the way he break the heart of girls in movies. 
Emeka Ike joined the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood professional in 1995 and was giving minor roles to act in movies. He got his major break in the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood when one of his senior colleagues in the industry by the name Ernest Obi who is an actor and also a movie director introduced him to a movie producer. Emeka Ike rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Not Man Enough” a movie that brought him to limelight and gave him a lot of advantage in Nollywood.
Emeka Ike in the cause of his acting career has won several awards. Some of the awards he has won include Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards and Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. His role in the Nollywood romantic movie “Stronger Than Pain” which he starred alongside with Kate Henshaw won him the award for Best Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. 
Emeka Ike is currently married. In 2000, Emeka Ike got married to his long time girl friend Ebere Rose and the marriage is blessed with two handsome boys. His wife is a half-Dutch and a half Nigerian. In 2014, Emeka Ike contested for the post of national president at the Actors Guild of Nigeria {AGN} general elections which was held in National Museum in Lagos but was defeated by Ibinabo Fiberesima. After which he contested for AGN president again and still lost to Ibinabo Fiberesima. Emeka Ike has been in a bitter legal battle with the AGN national president Ibinabo Fiberesima due to the fact that she was an ex-convict. Out of annoyance he challenged Ibinabo Fiberesima position as an ex-convict and got Ibinabo Fiberesima removed from office and that was how he became the national president of AGN.
Emeka Ike currently has an estimated net worth of over $2 million, making him one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria. He is also very popular on social media with more than a million followers on his official Instagram handle. In 2009, he won the Best Romantic Actor of the Year and Sexiest Man in Nigeria at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Africa Movie Academy Awards for his role in Stronger Than Pain. In 2011, he was honored as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) being the highest honor and award giving to a celebrity in Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the economy growth and development of the country through entertainment. Emeka Ike is considered to be one of the most sought-after actors in Nigeria and also one of the most richest actors in Nigeria. 
Emeka Ike has been described as one of the best outspoken actor in Nigeria. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his role very well and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. Aside from acting, Emeka is also a producer. He is not appearing in movies often like before, but when asked why he is not longer appearing in movies as he used to, Emeka Ike explained that he had to shift back from acting to focus on production and directing. According to him, he is planning to set up a film academy where students will be train in acting and script writing.
