Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ikubese is a famous Nigerian actor, model, singer, television personality, philanthropist and the former Mr. Nigeria. He was born on 12th August 1991 in Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 26 years old. His very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented most especially in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers.
Emmanuel Ikubese is originally from the Igbo speaking region of Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing his primary and secondary school education, Emmanuel Ikubese proceeded to United States International University in Nairobi, Kenya and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations.
Emmanuel Ikubese started his career as a model while still on campus and soon ventured into music and acting. He has performed and done collaborations with a couple of big names in the entertainment industry both in East Africa and Nigeria. His biggest role was starring as Femi in the award-winning MTV drama series “Shuga” which featured guest appearance from Wizkid and Banky W.
He is the founder of The Emmanuel Ikubese Foundation. He mentioned in an interview that he aspires to use his success to start his own foundation for orphans and abandoned kids. He also mentioned in an interview that besides acting, he enjoys playing basketball, soccer, the konga drum and enjoys cooking too.
He broke into limelight after winning the USIU Pop Idol Competition and was also the first runner up at the Mr. World 2014 competition. There is no doubt that he is a good role model and source of inspiration to many youths in Nigeria and great ambassador of Nigeria.
In 2014, Emmanuel Ikubese contested for Mr. Nigeria, a television reality show hosted by Silverbird Television and emerged as the winner in the competition. After his victory in the competition, Emmanuel Ikubese became Mr. Nigeria and played a lead character in the MTV award winning drama series “Shuga” an HIV awareness campaign sponsored by G-Panj, MTV base and other international corporations.
Emmanuel Ikubese has also done a couple of movies and television shows in both Kenya and Nigeria. In 2009, he acted in the MTV drama series titled “Shuga”. In 2016, he acted in a Nollywood movie titled “Greed”. In 2017, he acted in a Nollywood movie titled “Run”.
During an interview with the media, Emmanuel Ikubese stated that if he becomes Mr. Nigeria, he intends to be a good role model and also an inspiration to millions of youths all over the world and encourage them to keep chasing after their dreams.
He also stated that he was proud of being a part of an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign which has affected the lives of millions of youths worldwide positively and has affected their decision making to live a more careful lifestyle and also stop the stigma of HIV and AIDS transmission.
Emmanuel Ikubese in the cause of his acting career has won few awards which include Most Promising Actor of the Year (English) at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best Supporting Actor of the Year (English) at the City People Entertainment Awards.
Emmanuel Ikubese is currently one of the richest and most influential actor and model in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $350,000.
