Empress Njamah Biography and Net Worth

Empress Njamah is a famous Nollywood actress, producer, model, entrepreneur, television personality and a philanthropist. She was born on 16^th November 1980 in Njaaba, a small village in Oru Local Government Area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria to a Nigerian father and Cameroonian mother.

She is currently 37 years old. She is very beautiful, creative, gifted, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.

Empress Njamah is originally from Njaaba, a small village in Oru Local Government in Imo State, Nigeria, where she completed both her primary and secondary school education and obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. Her father is from Nigeria while her mother is from Cameroon.

After completing her primary and secondary school education, Empress Njamah proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Abeokuta, Ogun State in the south western part of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.

Empress Njamah joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 1995 as a teenager when Nollywood was still in its formative stage. She became highly famous after featuring in top Nollywood movies like “Missing Angel” which was shot in 2004 and “Liberian Girl” which was shot it 2006.

In 2012, Empress Njamah was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, but lost out to Terry Pheto. Empress Njamah has once dated Nigerian famous musician Timaya, but the relationship ended after being a subject of ridicule and criticism on social media.

Empress Njamah is currently single. However, commenting on her marital status, she explained that she is not bothered on remaining single since her family are enlightened and understand that the ratio of women to men is uneven. She went further to explain that celebrity marriages do not last and there really isn’t any essence in wasting funds for a wedding that will not stand the test of time.

On the prevalence on “baby mama’s” in Nollywood, Empress Njamah explained to Punch Newspaper in an interview that most of the single actress with children regret their steps but are not bold enough to say that in public. Empress Njamah is the younger sister to Nigeria famous actor and television personality, John Njamah.

As part of her corporate social responsibility, in 2006, Empress Njamah launched a foundation called “House of Empress” that caters for kids with special needs. The foundation celebrated its 10^th year anniversary in 2016.

Empress Njamah has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include Missing Angel, Liberian Girl, Extreme Mission, The Pastor and Harlot, You Broke My Heart, Red Hot, When Love Die, Love of My Life, She Devil.etc.

Empress Njamah has been embroiled in several scandals, most especially on social media for her long-standing feud with Nigerian famous artiste, Timaya, with whom she was once in a relationship with. Unfortunately, Timaya was on record, saying that one of his worst regrets was ever being in a relationship with Empress Njamah. In retaliation, Empress Njamah fired back saying that she was the one who regretted ever being in a relationship with Timaya.

Empress Njamah sued Timaya once for assault, after the music legend allegedly pulled her car over, dragged her out and beat her up. The matter was later withdrawn from court. The dark-skinned controversial actress has gone off the radar in recent times, appearing in news only for her businesses and philanthropist activities. She is no longer acting in Nollywood movies and has devoted her time in her businesses and philanthropist activities.

Empress Njamah in the cause of her acting career has won several awards which include Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Most Prominent Actress in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards.

Empress Njamah is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $750,000.
