Fabian Adibe is a veteran Nollywood actor and a television personality. He is best known for playing the role of an elder, king, father and father in-law in several Nollywood movies. He was born on the month of December 1940 in Okigwe, a small town in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 78 years old.
Fabian Adibe hails from Okigwe, a small town in Imo State in the eastern part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School certificate. He started his acting career in Enugu the coal city state and joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Enugu State chapter in 1993.
In 1993, Fabian Adibe rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Living in Bondage” a movie that brought Nollywood to limelight. He has acted and featured in several Nollywood movies and is also known for his role in movies like My Sister My Love, Things Fall Apart, Slave Warrior, amongst others.
Other movies he has acted include Action Sword, The King And The Sword, amongst others. His name in the Nigeria entertainment industry has earned him a reputation as one Nollywood most accomplished and respected actor.
Fabian Adibe joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 1993 and since then he has featured in several Nollywood movies. He acts mostly as a king, elder, father and father in-law in several Nollywood movies.
Fabian Adibe is among the most responsible elder and also one of the most popular Nollywood actors. He has featured in several movies alongside with some other popular Nollywood legends such as Peter Edochie, Olu Jacobs, Justus Esiri, Kanayo O Kanaya, Clem Ohameze, Kenneth Okonkwo, amongst others.
In 1965, Fabian Adibe led Nigeria to her first Commonwealth Art Festival in London, United Kingdom. In 1987, Fabian Adibe acted in his first film “Things Fall Apart” alongside with Pete Edochie and Chinwe Ntaluagu, where he played the role of Ogbuefi Uzowulu.
In 2006, Fabian Adibe acted in the movie “Sister My Love” and in 2007, he acted in the movie “Slave Warrior”. On 1st December 2013, Fabian Adibe launched his first book titled “Mixed Grill” at the age of 73 years old.
The book was launched at the prestigious Concorde Hotel in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and had several dignitaries and important figure and personalities in attendant.
The event was also graced by great personalities in the entertainment industry. Fabian Adibe has been in the Nigerian movie industry for over three decades and has acted in several movies. In 2016, Fabian Adibe was reported to have lost his sight and almost died due to severe illness, but during an interview with the media he debunks all the rumors.
Fabian Adibe is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $250,000.
