Father Mbaka Reveals The Reason Why Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is Agitating For Biafra

Popular Nigerian Catholic Priest, Reverend Fr. Ejika Mbaka has revealed the reason why the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is agitating for Biafra republic. The Catholic priest while giving his Sunday sermon at Adoration Permanent site, Umuchigbo, Enugu, revealed what made the acclaimed activist to be agitating for the republic of Biafra.

He made the statement while reacting to the illegal arrest and detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Recall, some weeks ago, it was reported that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested by security operatives and was brought back to Nigeria to face the law. The Attorney General of the Federation, Malami Abubakar said he was arrested by the joint effort of the Nigeria and foreign security agencies.

While reacting to the arrest and detention of Nnamdi Kanu, Fr Mbaka said that Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem of Nigeria. He said that since he was arrested, more people including children have been kidnapped in Kaduna last week.

According to his words; “There is herdsmen everywhere, people have abandoned the villages, and there are no jobs. Peoples’ farms are ravaged and they are kidnapped and killed. His arrest aggravates the problem.” Fr Mbaka stated.

Speaking about the reason why Nnamdi Kanu is agitating for Biafra Republic, the popular Catholic Priest noted that Nnamdi Kanu won’t have been clamoring for secession if the country was good.

According to his words; “If Nigeria is doing very well, will Nnamdi Kanu emerge? I am for justice, equity and fair play. Look at what is happening in the North, the north is finished.” Fr Mbaka stated this on Sunday, 11 July, 2021.

The 63-year-old Preacher and controversial Catholic Priest stated that corruption, unhealthy tribalism, injustice and hunger are the main reasons why Nnamdi Kanu is doing what he is doing.

While concluding, he stretched that Nnamdi Kanu is not the cause of the agitation. He also advised the government to address the cause of the agitation, that they shouldn’t arrest agitators because it won’t yield anything.

Recall, during the month of May this year, the controversial Priest was summoned by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Bishop Chukwuma Onaga, over his utterances against the government. Months after he was summoned, he returned to the pulpit to make more comments about Nigerian government because he is not afraid of the government.
