Chinedu Okoli popularly known by his stage name as Flavour is a multi talented Nigerian Afropop/highlife singer, songwriter, multi-talented instrumentalist, recording artiste, guitarist, stage performer, actor, model and a television personality. He has been described as one of the best indigenous performing act in Nigeria. He was born on 23rd November 1983 in Achara Layout, Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.

He is currently 39 years old. He is originally from Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is very handsome, gifted, talented and currently single. Flavour is the first son of a large family consisting of four siblings and seven step siblings.

Flavour completed his primary and secondary school education in Enugu State, Nigeria. He attended Robinson Primary School in Uwani, Enugu, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After which he proceeded to Uwkunanaw Boys Secondary School in Achara Layout, Enugu, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

He currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria with his family. He has a daughter with his babymama, Sandra Okagbue and the child’s name is Gabrielle. Flavour also has another daughter with one of his babymama, who is a Nollywood actress and Ex-beauty queen, Anna Ebiere Banner, and the child’s name is Sophia.

Flavour is well known for his ability to sing fluently in the Igbo language. He sings mostly in Igbo, English and pidgin. He is referred to as an indigenous singer whose main aim is to promote the cultural value of Igbo land through music.

Flavour began his music career as a drummer and guitarist for a local church in Enugu State at the age of 13 years old. In 1996 Flavour was invited by the CEO of Sound City Communication to join the company on an educational scholarship to study music. He is popularly known worldwide for his hit single like “Ashawo Remix”. He is currently signed to 2nite Entertainment.

In 2005, Flavour released his first debut studio album “N’abania” through Obaino Music. The album was successful in Enugu and major cities in the south eastern part of Nigeria. In 2010, Flavour released his second studio album “Uplifted”. The album surpassed the first album and include single like “Adamma”. Flavour has an estimated net worth of $18 million making him one of the richest and most influential artist in Nigeria.

Flavour collaborated with indigenous rapper, Nigga Raw on his studio album’s lead single titled “N’abania”. The song was recorded at Kingsley Ogoro’s studio in Lagos, Nigeria and won him the award for Best Collaboration at the Headies Awards. On 18th October 2012, Flavour released his third studio album through 2nite Entertainment Records. The album is unarguably Flavour’s biggest album till date due to the amount of producers that worked on it.

Flavour has won several awards which include Most Gifted Afro Pop at Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Indigenous Artist of the Year at the MTV Awards, Best Collabo of the Year at the Headies Awards and African Artiste of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards. The album was launched on the same day of Flavour’s 2nite Club grand opening at Toscana hotel in New Haven, Enugu, Nigeria.

In December 2014, Flavour released his fourth Studio album “Thankful”. The album has 22 tracks. The album has hits singles like Wakeup Call, Wiser, Golibe and Ololufe featuring Chidinma. On 29th August 2012, it was reported that Flavour was involved in a legal battle with Ghanaian duo artistes Wutah, over the alleged theft of the hit song “Kwakirikwa”. Flavour has been described as one of the best artist in Nigeria.
