Geraldine Ekeocha is a legendary Nollywood actress and  a television personality known as a fallen heroine who kicked the bucket when Nollywood was in the blink of receiving global recognition. She was born on 15th June 1955 in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and died on 4th September 2011 at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku Ozalla, Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria at the age of 56 years old.

Geraldine Ekeocha is originally from Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria but grew up in Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria where she completed both her primary and secondary school education and obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

Geraldine Ekeocha has acted in more than 100 Nollywood movies before her death which include The Plain Truth, Heavy Storm, World Apart, Perfect Planner, Love & Politics, My Sister My Love, and many more. She died at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku Ozalla, Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria at the age of 56 years old. This unfortunate incident happened as the preparation for the burial of veteran Nollywood actor Sam Loco Efe was in top gear. Geraldine Ekeocha was among the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria before her untimely death with an estimated net worth of $200,000.
