Halima Abubakar is a famous Nollywood actress, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. She was born on 12^th June, 1985 in Kano State in the northern part of Nigeria. She is currently 32 years old. She is originally from Kogi State, Nigeria Halima Abubakar completed her primary school education at Ideal Primary School in Kano, Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.

After which she completed her secondary school education in Kano, Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate. After her primary and secondary school education, Halima Abubakar proceeded to Bayero University in Kano, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.

In 2001, Halima Abubakar joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and began attending movie auditions and acted in her first movie “Rejected” where she played a minor role. Halima Abubakar rose to fame after playing the lead character in the popular Nollywood movie “Gangster Paradise” a movie that brought her to limelight.

Halima Abubakar has acted in more 150 Nollywood movies which include Slip of Fate, Tears of a Child, Secret Shadows, Gangster Paradise, Area Mama, Men in Love, Okafor’s Law, Men in Love, Return of White Hunters, Dangerous Ivy, Entrapped, etc.

In 2011, Halima Abubakar won the award for Best Actress at the Afro Hollywood Awards. Halima Abubakar has also been nominated for Best Rising Star at the Nollywood Movie Awards.

Halima Abubakar is very beautiful, creative, talented and very determined. According to her, her journey from a struggling actress to mega superstar wasn’t a bed of roses. It was her perseverance, persistence and passion for her profession that eventually saw her through.

Halima Abubakar has won several awards which include Best Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Wards, Best Actress at the Afro Hollywood Awards, Best Rising Star at the Nollywood Movie Awards, Best Supporting Actress at the Actors Guild Icons Awards, Best Actress at the Global Leadership Awards, Best Actress at the HITV Seasoned Awards, Most Outstanding Actress in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards and Best Actress at the Eminent Awards.

Halima Abubakar is the CEO of a Modehouse Entertainment, a music label and entertainment management company. She is currently the Kogi State youth ambassador.

Halima Abubakar is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $600,000.
