Ekenedilichukwu Ijemba popularly known by his stage name as Humblesmith is a fast rising Nigerian afro-pop singer, songwriter, recording artist, stage performer, actor and a model. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented. He was born on 14th May 1991 in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 27 years old.
He is originally from Uruala, a small town in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, but was born and bred in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
Humblesmith was born into a Catholic family in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. While still in secondary school, he started dancing and was part of a group called American Boys before he left Abakaliki in Ebonyi State for Asaba, the capital city of Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria in order to pursue a career in music.
While in Asaba, Humblesmith took up menial jobs in order to earn a living for himself. He later ventured into the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) as an actor and appeared in several films including “Hypertension” a movie he acted alongside with Nollywood comic legend late Sam Loco Efe.

He later returned back to Abakaliki in Ebonyi State at some point and then went back to Asaba in Delta State again to focus full time on his career in music in 2011. With his quest and determination to succeed, he started scouting for shows and performed for free until he was signed by DG Records who were impressed with one of his several performances.
In 2012, Humblesmith left Asaba, the capital city of Delta State and relocated to Lagos, the Nigerian city of entertainment, where he recorded his debut single “Chairmoo” in 2014. In 2015, Humblesmith rose to fame after releasing his hit single “Osinachi” featuring Nigerian indigenous rapper Phyno. The music was very trending and charted top at the MTV based music chart for several weeks.
Due to the success of the single, Nigeria famous musician Davido featured Humblesmith in the remix of his hit single “Osinachi”. In 2016, the song “Osinachi” earned him a nomination for “Best New Act” category at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and was also nominated in the “Hottest Single” category at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In April 2016, Humblesmith featured Flavour N’abania in another hit song titled “Jukwese” which enjoyed massive airplay around Nigeria.

Humblesmith is currently signed to N-tyze Entertainment. In 2016, he made the list of “10 Artists to Watch in 2016” by NotJustOk. Humblesmith during an interview with the media has cited Bright Chimezie as his music influence. He sings mostly in Igbo, Pidgin and English. In June 2016, Humblesmith signed a multi-million endorsement deal with noodles manufacturing company “Tummy-Tummy Food Industry”.
Humblesmith in the cause of his career as an artist have been nominated for several awards. In 2016, he was nominated for Rookie of The Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, Next Rated, Best Pop Single and Song of the Year at the Headies Awards. In 2016, he was also nominated for Hottest Single of the Year and Best New Act at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2016, he was also nominated for Best Newcomer at the African Muzik Magazine Awards.
In 2016, he was also nominated for New Song of the Year, Best Afro Beat & Pop Artist of the Year at the Nigerian Teen Choice Award. And finally, in 2016, he won the award for Best Collaboration of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards.
