J. Martins Biography and Net Worth

Martins Okechukwu Joshua popularly known by his stage name as J. Martins is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording artiste, stage performer, record producer and a model. He was born on 29^th September 1977 in Onitsha, Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 40 years old.

He is very handsome, creative and talented. Martins is originally from Akanu Ohafia, a small village in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is best known for his songs like Oyoyo, Jupa and Good or Bad.

J. Martins has collaborated with Nigerian top music stars like P-Square, Phyno, YCEE, Olamide, Timaya, Selebobo, Niga Raw and Flavour. Martins completed both his primary and secondary school education in Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School certificate.

After completing his primary and secondary school education, J. Martins proceeded to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, Nigeria and obtained a National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication. After obtaining his national diploma, J. Martins proceeded to Enugu State University of Science and Technology and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

In 2008, J. Martins released his first debut studio album “Get Serious”. In 2009, he released his second debut studio album “Elevated”. In 2012, he released his third debut studio album “Selah”. In 2016, he released his fourth debut studio album “Authentic”.

Martins started singing at a very tender age and were encouraged by his mother who was a member of the church choir. She influences J. Martins to join the church choir and develop his vocal. During his teenage years, he learnt how to play several music instruments.

Martins in the cause of his career have won several awards which include Hottest Single of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Next Rated Artiste of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best R&B/Pop Artiste of the Year at the African Music Video Awards, Best Single at the AFRIMMA Awards and Best Album of the Year at the Headies Awards.

Martins is currently one of the richest and most influential artiste in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $4.5 million.
