John Roger Stephens popularly known by his stage name as John Legend is a famous American multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, vocalist, songwriter, stage performer, recording artiste and an actor. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and very talented. He was born on 28th December 1978 in Springfield, Ohio in the United States of America. He is currently 39 years old.

John Legend is one of the four children of Phyllis Elaine, a seamstress and Ronald Lamar Stephens, a factory worker at International Harvester. John Legend was homeschooled by his mother throughout his childhood. At the age of 4 years old, he performed with his church choir.

He began playing the piano at the age of 7 years old. At the age of 12 years old, John Legend attended Springfield North High School. After graduation from high school, he was offered admission to Harvard University and a scholarship to Georgetown University and Morehouse College.
