Joy Ladi Torty popularly called Ladi is a fast rising Nollywood actress, model and a television personality. She was born and bred in Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria. She was born in 1984 and is currently 33 years old. She is very beautiful, creative, skillful, gifted and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles.

Joy Torty is originally from Plateau State, but was born and bred in Kaduna State both in the northern part of Nigeria. She attended Narayi Primary School in Kaduna State, Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After which she completed her secondary school education in Kaduna State, Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing her primary and secondary school education, Joy Torty proceeded to University of Jos in Plateau State in the northern part of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.

Joy Torty started out her career as a model while still in the University of Jos. In 2002, she contested and won the Miss Northern Universities beauty pageant. After which she contested and won the Miss UNIJOS beauty pageant held in the University of Jos, Plateau State in the northern part of Nigeria in 2003 and became Miss UNIJOS in 2003.

Joy Torty also participated in Miss Common Wealth beauty Pageant, Queen of all Nations beauty Pageant and later won the Miss Tourism beauty Pageant held in Gombe State in the northern part of Nigeria in 2009 and became Miss Tourism in 2009.

After graduating from the university, Joy Torty joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and started featuring in Nollywood movies. She has acted in more than 80 Nollywood movies which include Sweet Sound, Greatness, Final Faith, My Only Girl, On Holiday, Who Am I, Winners and Losers, My Heart Desire, In Love with Father Ben, Domino, Violence, etc. In the movie titled Violence, she played the role of Adisa.

Joy Torty has earned herself a star status and a reputation in the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) with her portrayal as Adaku in the movie titled “Village Beauty” where she played the role of a Snake Girl who lives in two worlds, one was physical world and the other was spiritual world and the story of the movie bothers on love and bravery. In the movie she played a supporting role alongside with Emeka Ike who played the lead role.

Joy Torty is one of the most sought after actress in Nigeria. She is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. She knows how to interpret her role very well and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers.

Joy Torty in the cause of her career as an actress and a model has won several awards which include Best New African Actress at the Zulu African Film Academy Awards, Miss UNIJOS, Miss Tourism, Miss Common Wealth, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Joy Torty is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $150,000.
