Judith Emike Audu-Foght popularly known as Judith Audu is a famous Nollywood actress, movie producer, television presenter, voice over artiste, blogger, model, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. She is popularly known for her role as Mofe in the Nigerian television series “Emerald” alongside with Joseph Benjamin, Lilian Esoro, Carol King and Femi Branch.
Judith Audu was born on 1st July 1984 in Ojo, Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria. She is currently 33 years old. Her father’s name is Audu Ali Audu, he is a naval officer while her mother’s name is Gift Salamat Audu, she was an entrepreneur who owns a chain of restaurants and a rental service for events in Lagos.
Judith Audu has two brothers, an elder brother named Franklin Audu and a younger brother named Abdulmalik Audu. Judith Audu is the second child and only daughter in a family of three children.
Judith Audu attended Navy Town Primary School in Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria from 1988 to 1993 and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Judith Audu proceeded to Navy Town Secondary School in Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria from 1993 to 1999 and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing her secondary school education, Judith Audu, proceeded to the Nigerian French Language Village in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria and obtained her National Diploma in French in 2001. After obtaining her National Diploma in French, Judith Audu proceeded to University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in French in 2005.
After completing her National Youth Service (NYSC) In Kebbi State in 2007, Judith Audu proceeded to University of Lagos and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public and International Affairs in 2010.
While at the University of Lagos, Judith Audu joined a Theater Group called the Campus Playhouse and took part in several stage productions, from there she auditioned to be a part of Theater 15 which was the most respected Theater Group in the University of Lagos at that time. It was from these theatre groups that Judith Audu developed her acting skills and worked alongside with Nigerian television personality Denrele Edun, actor/comedian Koffi and Director Wole Oguntokun.
In 2004, Judith Audu joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and officially registered herself as an actor with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and began attending movie auditions, through which she got a role in a Ghetto film by Femi Ogedegbe titled “Tears of the Ghetto”.
Judith Audu became highly popularly after playing the role of Mofe in the Nigerian television series “Emerald” alongside with Joseph Benjamin, Lilian Esoro, Carol King and Femi Branch.
During her compulsory National Youth Service, Judith Audu was the presenter and producer of a programme on Kebbi State Television called French For Beginners and was also the Drama Troupe Director.
In 2011, after completing her master’s degree program, Judith Audu attended an audition for a role in the television drama “Tinsel” and got the role of a gynaecologist.
Judith Audu has acted in several Nollywood movies and television series which include Emerald, Seekers, Burning Spears, Tinsel, Huzzel, 4 Walls, Comfort Zone, Rush, Funtime, Life is Beautiful, Case File, House Apart, Queens Drive, etc.
In 2014, Judith Audu produced her first film, a short film on domestic violence titled “Not Right” which featured Omowunmi Dada, Ani Iyoho, Philip Festus and Judith Audu.
In 2014, Audu began airing a radio show on a popular online radio station, Igroove Radio tagged Meet the Actor with Judith Audu where she does personality chats with Actors from all over the world.
In May 2016, Judith Audu produced and premiered her first full-length feature film, under her production company “Judith Audu Productions”. The title of the movie is “Just Not Married” and features actors like Stan Nze, Rotimi Salami, Ijeoma Agu, Obutu Roland, Brutus Richard, Gregory Ojefua, Judith Audu and Perpetua Adefemi. The movie enjoyed critical reviews and topped cinema ratings across Nigeria in the first few weeks of its release.
On 1st July 2011, Judith Audu got married to her long time boyfriend Morten Foght. Judith Audu is a passionate blogger and has a blog where she profiles up and coming artistes and does entertainment news.
In 2013, Judith Audu was nominated for the Best Female Actress at the Nigerian Broadcasting Merit Award. In December 2014, Judith Audu won the award for Best Actress at the In-Short International Film Festival for her role in the short-film “Alpha Mom”.
Judith Audu’s short film “Not Right” which she produced and starred in was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. The film was also nominated at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Nollywood Movie Awards and Abuja International Film Festival Awards in 2014.
In 2016, Judith Audu won the award for Best Actress at the Best of Nollywood Awards for the movie “Just Not Married”
Judith Audu is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $600,000.
