Korede Bello is a fast rising Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording artist, instrumentalist, stage performer, guitarist, actor and a model. He is currently signed to Mavin Records headed by Don Jazzy. He was born on 29th February 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently 21 years old. Korede Bello is very handsome and talented.
He started singing at a very tender age with the stage name “African Prince”. But after receiving a record deal contract my Don Jazzy to join the Mavin crew, he decided to change his name from “African Prince” to his real name “Korede Bello”.
Korede Bello completed both his primary and secondary school education in Lagos, Nigeria. During his secondary school days, Korede Bello started recording his songs in studio. According to him, his father bought his first guitar for him and even paid for his first studio session. According to him, his role models are 2Face Idibia and Asa.
On 28th February 2014, Korede Bello was signed to Mavin Records alongside with Reekado Banks and Dija by Don Jazzy. The crew released their first single “Dorobucci” and the song became trending in Nigeria and skyrocket Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and Dija to fame.
After the release of “Dorobucci” Korede Bello went ahead to release his hit single “Godwin” in 2015. The song “Godwin” made him a celebrity and a public figure all over the world. The song “Godwin” won him an award for best music video at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards and gave him a nomination for best upcoming artiste in Nigeria at the Headies Award. The song “Godwin” tops the charts at MTV and remained there for many weeks.
Korede Bello is yet to release an album, but during an interview session with the media, he stated frankly that his album will be an inspiration to people especially those struggling to make it in life.
Korede Bello is currently a student of Mass Communication at the Institute of Journalism in Lagos, Nigeria. He combines both his academy and music career together.
In 2011, Korede Bello won the indigenous and Revelation of the Year Award at Tush All Youth Awards. In 2012, Korede Bello won the Most Wanted Artiste Award at Hype Music Awards.
That same year, which was in 2012, Korede Bello won the Young Promoter of Cultural Heritage Award at The Gong African News Magazine Awards. Korede Bello is currently a GLO ambassador.
Korede Bello has also been rumored to be dating the Nigerian President daughter, but he denied the rumor during an interview with the media saying they are just good friends.
Korede Bello is currently one of the richest and most influential artiste in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $600,000.
