Leon G. Thomas III popularly known as Leon Thomas III is a famous American actor, singer, record producer, songwriter and a television personality, who is signed to Columbia Rostrum Records. He is best known for playing the lead role of Andre Harris on the popular Nickelodeon television drama series “Victorious” alongside with Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.
He was born on 1st August 1993 in Brooklyn, New York in the United States of America. He is currently 24 years old. His mother’s name is Jayon Anthony while his father’s name is Leon Thomas II. He is very handsome, gifted, creative, skillful and talented. He has two debut studio albums “Vibes” and “Metro Hearts” to his name. Leon Thomas III started his acting career in 2003 as a child actor.
He made his Broadway debut at the age of 10 years old in 2003 as Young Simba in the Broadway production “The Lion King”. In 2004, Leon Thomas III appeared as Jackie Thibodeaux in the original Broadway cast of Tony Kushner’s Caroline and toured with the company during its five months run in Los Angeles and San Francisco both in the United States of America. Leon Thomas also performed in the Broadway production “The Color Purple”.
In 2007, Leon Thomas III appeared in the film “August Rush” as Arthur, performing the song “La Bamba” and was the singing voice for Tyrone in the movie “The Backyardigans”. Leon Thomas III has also starred as a guest actor on Jack’s Big Music Show and Just Jordan. He also appeared as Harper in the iCarly episode “iCarly Saves TV” and was featured on The Naked Brothers Band Christmas Special.
On 27th March 2010, Leon Thomas III became a public figure after playing the lead character of Andre Harris in the Nickelodeon popular television drama series “Victorious” which he starred alongside with Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande, amongst others. Leon Thomas III also appeared as Andre Harris in the crossover episode between Victorious and iCarly “iParty with Victorious”. Leon Thomas III has also appeared in the episode of “True Jackson” and “VP”.
On 2nd August 2011, the album “Victorious” a music from the popular TV Show was launched with Leon Thomas III featuring in the songs “Song 2 You” (written by him) and “Tell Me That You Love Me”. On 5th June 2012, the album “Victorious” a music from the popular TV Show was released with Leon Thomas III featuring in the songs “Countdown” and “Don’t You Forget About Me”. The Victorious television series ended their production in July 2012 and the show’s final episode aired on 2nd February 2013.
In early 2012, Leon Thomas III started to record his first debut studio album called “Metro Hearts”. It was finally released on 1st August 2012. The songs from his first debut studio album “Metro Hearts” include Forever, Bad, Moving On, Vibe, Like Clay and Never Look Back. The album also included a cover of “Take Care” by Drake. The cover is by Leon Thomas featuring Ariana Grande.
Leon Thomas co-wrote the song “Ain’t No Other Me” for the British group Stooshe, which features as a deluxe edition track on their debut album “London with the Lights On”. Leon Thomas III also co-wrote four songs on Ariana Grande’s 2013 album “Yours Truly”. He also co-produced five songs on “Yours Truly” in addition to the song “Last Christmas” from Ariana Grande’s Christmas Kisses EP, as a member of the production duo “The Rascals”.
Additionally, his work in the production as a part of “The Rascals” was included on the Grammy award winning album “Love, Marriage & Divorce”. He also contributed as a writer on the song entitled “I’d Rather Be Broke” performed by Toni Braxton. On 4th September 2013, Leon Thomas III released a new single, “Hello How Are You” featuring Wiz Khalifa. His second hit single “Chill” topped high on billboard chart. On 1st January 2014, Leon Thomas released his second debut studio album “Vibes” under the name Leon Thomas, via Datpif. He also announced that a music video for his single “Hello How Are You” was in progress.
In 2016, he served as a co-producer for Post Malone’s album “Stoney”. In 2003, he acted in the movie “Robin and Roger”. In 2007, he acted in the movie “August Rush”. In 2010, he acted in the movie “Rising Stars” and “Victorious”. In 2014, he acted in the movie “Bad Asses”. In 2015, he acted in the movie “Runaway Island”. In 2017, he acted in the movie “Detroit”. He has also made several Broadway appearances which include The Lion King, Caroline or Change and The Color Purple, amongst others. On 21st August 2012, he went for the Big Time Summer Tour to promote his album.
In 2015, Leon Thomas III won the Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album (Producer/Writer). In 2008, he won Best Performance in a Feature Film and Best Supporting Young Actor (Fantasy or Drama) at the Young Artist Awards. In 2012, he was nominated for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children’s Program (Series or Special) for his role as Andre Harris in the popular Nickelodeon television drama series “Victorious” at the NAACP Image Awards.
Leon Thomas III is currently one of the richest and most influential actor and musician in the United States of America with an estimated net worth of $245 million.
