MASSOB And IPOB Says Ohanaeze Ndigbo Group Betrayed Them By Reconciling With South-East Governors

Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had on Monday said that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Group betrayed them by following reconciliation directives issues by the South-East Governor forum. This came after the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization had accepted directives by the South-East leaders to set up committees to reconcile grievances in Igboland within 10 days.

And according to the leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu who react to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo group reconciliation move, said they should be sensitive and diplomatic in their approach to issues that bother on Igbo interest in Nigeria, adding that the South East region should avoid anything that would make Aso Rock political cabal to hijack any effort that would redeem Ndigbo from subjective slavery in Nigeria.

While the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, believes that Ohanaeze Ndigbo should not have accepted the invitation because of their past meeting in 2017 which was futile. He also said that they betrayed us, but we shall address the matter appropriately including the reason for not inviting IPOB leadership to the peace parley, but preferred to invite our ESN,”
