Innocent Udeme Udofot popularly known by his stage name as MC Galaxy is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording artist, stage performer, dancer, model and a comedian. He was born on 2nd May 1985 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 32 years old.
He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented. MC Galaxy is originally from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently signed to MCG Entertainment. After which he signed an endorsement record deal with Upfront Bookings.
He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
MC Galaxy has stolen many hearts with his crazy dance moves. There is no doubt that the talented musician and great dancer is known for his supports on upcoming artists.
In 2009, MC Galaxy started his career as a stand-up comedian and made out with his stage name MC Galaxy. He has performed in several comedy shows both on local and international platforms. In 2009, he took part in Davido’s Skelewu dance competition and won a five thousand naira cash prize.
In 2012, he was featured in Iyanya’s smash hit single “Kukere” which topped many music charts in Nigeria and had over 10 million views on YouTube. MC Galaxy broke into the music scene after winning the GLO Rock and Rule Dance Competition in 2009 and started professionally as a Nigerian musician.
His hit single “Nek-Unek” which featured Davido, took the Nigerian music industry by storm and had over 6 million views within its first month of release on YouTube.
In 2013, MC Galaxy brought out a new dance crazy step “Sekem” and it was accompanied by a dance competition where the winners get to be featured in his music video. He has collaborated with top artists like Davido, Iyanya, Wizkid, Harrysong, Kcee, Flavour, Don Jazzy, D Banj, Olamide, P-Square, Honey Willis, Effjay, amongst Others.
In 2014, MC Galaxy released another hit single “Ketekete” and had a tour to the United States of America to promote his hit single “Ketekete” internationally. He host his own comedy show called “Comedy Nite with MC Galaxy” where he gives new upcoming comedians a chance to showcase their talent.
In 2012, MC Galaxy rose to fame after winning the Davido dance competition challenge. He has worked with Tspize, SwizzBeatz, Uhuru and Shizzi. MC Galaxy currently runs his own record label, which is known as MCG Entertainment.
On 19th March 2014, MC Galaxy released his first single “Sekem” under his record label MCG Entertainment. The music video for the song “Sekem” was directed by Patrick Ellis and was released on 23rd June 2014.
The video became trending and went on to achieve over 6 million views on YouTube within its first month of release and the remix was released two years later featuring Swizz Beatz.
In 2015, MC Galaxy was arrested for allegedly assaulting his tour manager. In 2017, he released his first debut studio album “Breakthrough” with his hit singles topping the charts at MTV.
MC Galaxy in the cause of his career as an artiste has won several awards and has been nominated for several awards. In 2014, he was nominated for Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
In 2015, he won the award for Best Dance/Live Performance at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2015, he was nominated for Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2016, he was nominated for Collaboration of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
MC Galaxy is currently one of the richest and most influential artiste in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $1.8 million.
