Meet the 2019 Big Brother Naija Housemates

A new season of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show has just kicked off and many have been agitating to know the housemates so as to choose their favorites housemates. We have done a thorough research and in this article we will be sharing with you short personal profile of the 21 housemates in the 2019 Big Brother Naija TV Reality Show.

The show is tagged “Pepper Dem” and this year 21 housemates will battle for the 60 million naira worth of prize money over a period of 99 days and the winner gets a trip to Dubai, an SUV car worth 25 million naira, a cash price of 35 million naira and a sponsorship deal with top brands in Nigeria and abroad.

So ladies and gentle men we present to you the full list and profiles of the new 21 housemates in the Big Brother Naija TV Reality Show.

1. Avala

Avala real name is Saidat Balogun and she is from Ogun State in the south western part of Nigeria. She is a single mother. The highest point of her life is when she gave birth to her daughter and her latest single “Give me a chance”. The talented singer studied Music and Business at York College in Queens, New York City in the United States of America. She has featured with American top artists like Mary J Blidge. Just like the Queen of Hip Hop, the Ogun State born singer has ambitions to spread her music all over the world. According to her, what irritates her most about other people is disloyalty.

2. Diane

Diane Yashim is a model and an aspiring cook. She is also a graduate of the University of Debrecen in Hungary. Studying and living there was an eye-opening experience she will forever be grateful for. She describes herself as an easy going girl whose favorite outfit is a shirt, trousers and sneakers. One of the highlights of her life is being chosen as a Big Brother Naija Season Four Housemate and she says that nothing would make her quit the game. She adds that she likes to try new things and wants to see the whole experience through. According to her, what irritate her most about other people is lies and loud talkers. She promised to use the prize money to travel as well as try to get into the entertainment industry as an actor or television presenter. She also promised to use the money and further her education.

3. Ella

Victoria Ella Nnabuchi popularly known as Ella is no stranger to the limelight. She was the first runner up in a popular music talent hunt show. She is also a television presenter, a voice-over artist, an actress and a model. She also enjoys dancing, singing, reading, writing, travelling and poetry. However, the industry preaches that one should fake it until they make it. Not Ella, According to her, she stated that it is better to “faith it, until you make It.” According to her, what irritate her most about other people is lies and deceitful people.

4. Esther

Esther Olaoluwa Agunbiade is proud of her beauty and brains. The 22-year-old Lagos based lawyer was called to the bar when she was just 21 years old. She is also very athletic and loves to show off her figure. According to her, her favorite outfit is white off the shoulder, bodycon and short dress. According to her, what irritate her most about other people, is people with bad bathroom and toilet hygiene or habits. According to her, if she had a million dollars in her bank account, she would still be in the Big Brother Naija house.

5. Frodd

Chemeka Frodd Okoye is a soft-spoken Investment Adviser and Sales Executive from Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. The 28-year-old believes family is everything and that is why he lists paying for his mother’s surgery bill as one of the proudest moments of his life. He says nothing can make him quit Big Brother Naija and even if he had a million dollars, he would still participate in the game because the experience can never be bought. According to him, what irritates him most about other people is pride, fake people and bullies. According to him, once he wins the award prize, he promised to use the prize money to start a fashion line and an NGO for single mothers.

6. Gedoni

Ekpata Gedoni is a fashion entrepreneur who likes to keep it simple with a dash of sophistication. The 31-year-old Cross River indigene enjoys basketball, soccer, taking walks and cleaning the house. His other talents include writing poetry and drawing portraits with pencil.

According to him, what irritate him most about other people is the inability to take correction as well as physical and mental laziness. According to him, once he wins the award prize, he promised to use the prize money and sort out his family debts, put up a proper fashion house and show random act of kindness.

7. Ike

Steve Ikechukwu Onyema popularly known as Ike is a model and an entrepreneur originally from Imo State, but bides his time between Houston, Texas in the United States of America and Maryland, Lagos in Nigeria. The 26-year-old is very handsome and every girl wants to associate with him because of his charming personality. He is loud and colorful and loves to entertain because according to him “you only live once”.

When he lost his business in 2013, Ike had to struggle to get back to his feet with the assistant of his adorable girlfriend. Luckily, things are looking up for him now. In his downtime, you will find him eating steak and vegging out on the couch watching his favorite movie ‘No Country For Old Men’. Not even a family loss would make him quit the Big Brother Naija game. And if he was rich, he would still do it for the experience.

According to him, what irritate him most about other people is people who talk too much. According to him, when he wins the prize money, he will put some of the money into real estate investments and give some to a children’s charity. According to him, his funny personality and looks will carry him through.

8. Isilomo

Isilomo Braimoh is a single lady and ready to mingle. The Lagos resident is a Human Resource Manager at a reputable organization. At 27, Isilomo already has a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management with professional certificate. She winds down from her hectic job by engaging in sports, outdoor activities, food, music and travel. As a lover of all things music, her favorite songs are currently ‘Middle Child’ by J.Cole and ‘Daz How Star Do’ by Skiibii.

According to her, what irritates her most in other people is the fact that she hate it when in an argument or debate, a person stops putting out their opinion in a clear and concise manner. She also stated that she dislike it when people are sluggish about things. And that she doesn’t like people who don’t take responsibility and hold themselves accountable for their actions.

According to her, once she win the prize money, she will invest it in her brand, invest in any kind of Capital Market Instrument, kick start her media career (by going for training) and go on a long holiday with her sisters.

9. Jackye

Just like her spirit animal the lioness, Jackye is a fierce hunter who led her software engineering team into winning a contract to build a Fintech App for one of the biggest companies in Africa. The 23-year-old talented technocrats has only had one boyfriend her entire life and she relaxes by watching football, playing games and eating spaghetti, her favorite meal.

Her life mantra is “I never lose, either I win or I learn.” According to her, what irritates her most in other people is when they are slow. According to her, she is not a fan of slow people. According to her, once she wins the prize money, she will invest it in an ongoing tech project.

10. Jeff

When it is time to let loose, Jeff blasts Drake’s ‘Take Care’ and Burna Boy’s ‘Rock Your Body’. Originally Jeff is from Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, but now residing in Jos, Plateau State in the northern part of Nigeria. Jeff is a 30-year-old banker who believes in taking things one day at a time. His go to food is a dish of beans, yam, amala, ewedu and gbegiri. Jeff also enjoys swimming and dunking a few on the basketball court.

According to him, what irritates him most in other people is ungratefulness. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will use the money to further establish his fintech start-up business. The business aims to help the youth improve their circumstances and grow with the little they may have.

11. Mike

Mike Edwards is a proud husband, CEO and athlete who doesn’t know how to quit. The highest point in his life was the day he got married to the love of his life. Mike owns the first Black-owned cigar line company in the United Kingdom and he is also a professional athlete. The lowest point in his life was when he was banned from representing Nigeria at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He would still come to the Big Brother Naija House even if he had a million dollars because he never backs down from a challenge.

According to him, what irritates him most about other people is negativity. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he would use it to continue to grow his business.

12. Khafi

Khafi Kareem is a UK based Police Officer. She believes that you can have it all if you believe in yourself. She is not only hoping to win the prize money but she wants the exposure that being in Big Brother Naija House brings so that she can do societal good. According to her, what people don’t know about her is that she is secretly talented in spoken word, singing and dancing. She is a native of Ekiti State in the south western part of Nigeria who resides in London, United Kingdom and works as a Police Officer.

According to her, what irritates her most in other people is when they try to control her or suppress her from expressing herself freely. According to her, once she win the prize money, she will hire a film crew and host a travel show going to every state in Nigeria showcasing the tourist beauty spots. She also stated that she would also use the money to invest in charitable causes.

13. Kim-Oprah

Kim Oprah is a model and a Bubbly television presenter. She believes that nothing is impossible to achieve. This African beauty achieved the impossible when she represented Nigeria at the Miss Intercontinental World Beauty Pageant. Kim Oprah is not just a pretty face she owns a business and her favorite book is “Smart Money Woman” by Arese Ugwu. There is nothing that would make her quit the Big Brother Naija House because she is not a quitter.

According to her, what irritates her most about other people is lying. According to her, once she wins the prize money, she will do two things with the money. First she will invest the money in her business and further her education by doing a business management course.

14. Mercy

Mercy Eke is a 26-year-old video vixen and businesswoman based in Lagos. She loves cooking, swimming, travelling and dancing. No matter the setbacks, Mercy always picks herself up and does her best. According to her words; “I am grateful for each and every day. Being alive today is already the highest point of my life”. When she is not dancing, singing or rapping, Mercy makes time to enjoy her favorite food which is white rice and pepper soup.

According to her, if she had a million dollars in her bank account, she would still be in the Big Brother Naija game. Because she wants the fame that Big Brother Naija has to offer. According to her, the popularity is very important for her business.

According to her, what irritates her most about other people is proud and arrogance. According to her, she dislikes people who are too proud of themselves. According to her, once she wins the prize money, she will want to use it to start her own fashion brand or label.

15. Nelson

Nelson Allison is a model and a media consultant. The winner of the 2018 Mr. Universe Nigeria is still single and searching. When he is not consulting or modeling, he enjoys sketch drawing, working out, watching movies and cooking. If he were a world leader, he would ensure that both the poor and the rich had equal opportunities. Nelson believes that it is not over until the fat lady sings.

According to him, what irritates him most about other people is lies and dishonesty. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will use it to take care of himself and start a business with it.

16. Omashola

Omashola is a model and an entrepreneur. He is originally from Warri, Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria, but now calls Lagos his home. He loves playing basketball, cooking and being in the water, even though he can’t swim. Putting his life’s motto “If you want it, go get it – don’t just sit down”.

According to him, his greatest fear is rejection. This year, Omashola got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. But the worst happened; she turned him down! Now he is single and focused on building his brand. Omashalo comes into the Big Brother Naija House ready to make his dreams come true.

According to him, what irritates him most about other people is lies and dishonesty. According to him, he hates liars. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will invest the money and triple it in less than a year.

17. Seyi

Oluwaseyi Awolowo is a model and an entrepreneur. He is the grandson to Nigerian former leader Chief Obafemi Awolowo. He has had many highs and lows in his three decades of existence. The bubbly entrepreneur once tried to commit suicide but has since risen above that dark period of his teenage years and has turned his life around. He is committed to his journey of self-acceptance and his beliefs.

According to him, he has a girlfriend whom he loves so much. According to him, seeing his own face on a billboard for the first time is one of the highest moments of his life so far. According to him, what irritate him most about other people is fake people and those who lack originality. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will invest the money in his company.

18. Tuoyo

Tuoyo is a psychotherapist, fitness coach and a part time stripper. Tuoyo loves working out, reading books, watching movies, listening to his favorites musicians Davido and J Cole and cuddling (even though he is single). Although life has been good to him, he claims to be 23 years old. According to him, his most painful moment was when he was not being shortlisted for an important Navy and Airforce entrance examination and that left him staring at an uncertain future.

Luckily, a shot at fame and fortune on this season’s Big Brother Naija has given him another shot at making his dreams come true. According to him, what irritates him most about other people is gossip and body odor. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will use it to open a therapy institution and a lounge.

19. Sir Dee

Sir Dee, real name is Atteh Daniel Tioluwa. He is a 27-year-old banker and a graphic designer from Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria. He loves football, board games and movies. According to him, his favorite’s movie of all time is Lord of the Rings. Sir Dee, who is in a relationship, believes in being the best version of himself at all times and counts whistling as one of his secret talents.

According to him, if he were to be an animal, he would be a lion. According to him, as much as the prize money is important, winning is not his ultimate aim. The fact that he has being disconnected from everyone he knows and will have to form new relationships in an enclosed environment, is very exciting to him.

According to him, what irritates him most about other people is when people are manipulative. According to him, he hates people who are manipulative and condescending. According to him, once he wins the prize money, he will use it to pay for a trip for his parents, his kid brother and himself to go see his sister in the UK. According to him, he would also give a certain amount of the money to his sister and then invest the remaining money in his business, amongst other things.

20. Tacha

Tacha is a social media influencer from Cross River State in the south southern part of Nigeria. She is popularly known as Symply Tacha. She has always wanted to be on Big Brother Naija house. It comes as no surprise then, that getting picked to be a housemate this season is the highlight of her life. This spunky 23-year-old native of Rivers State lives her life like her favorites musician Cardi B does.

According to her quote; “Do no harm but take no mess”. Talented at making strategic money moves, Tacha would pick her phone over sleep, any day. Although losing her mom weighs heavily on her, the experience has taught Tacha to be as strong as an eagle, one of her favorite’s animals.

According to her, what irritates her most about other people is gossip. According to her, she hates gossip mongers with a passion. According to her, once she wins the prize money, she will invest it in new business ideas, increase her family’s standard of living and start a charity foundation.

21. Thelma

Thelma Ibemere is a 26-year-old make-up artiste, hair stylist and a beauty practitioner. She lives her life by one simple motto: “Only hang out with those who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you”.  Although this vivacious Hair and Beauty practitioner is currently in a relationship, she believes nothing could have kept her away from her destiny which is being in the Big Brother Naija House. When she is not running her hair business, Thelma finds time to dance, travel and read. Her favorite’s book of all time is “Talent Is Not Enough” by James C Maxwell.

According to her, if she had a million dollars in her bank account, she would still be in the game, because of the fame Big Brother Naija has to offer. According to her, the only thing that would make her quit Big Brother Naija is a wedding or pregnancy. According to her, what irritates her most about other people is scandals and pretense. According to her, once she wins the prize money she will invest it in her business and assist her family as well.
