Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known by his stage name as Mr Eazi is a fast rising Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer, recording artist and an entrepreneur. He is the pioneer of Banku Music, a fusion sound he describes as the mixture of Ghanaian bounces, Ghanaian highlife, Nigerian chord progressions and Nigerian patterns.
He was born on 19th July 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is currently 27 years old. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented. He is originally from Kumasi in Ghana.
Mr Eazi was born in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He grew up in an entrepreneurial home. His mother owned a small scale business while his father is a pilot.
Mr Eazi completed his primary school education in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After which he relocated to Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.
In 2008, at the age of 16 years old, and after completing his primary and secondary school education, Mr Eazi relocated to Ghana to further his education. While in Ghana, he attended Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr Eazi started recording music during his time as an undergraduate at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He contributed guest vocals to the track “My Life” a song that gained traction and became a popular record at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. Prior to that, he established a party and promotion company called Swagger Entertainment.

In July 2013, Mr Eazi released his debut studio album “About to Blow”. In 2015, he gained an international audience following and released his debut single “Skin Tight”. His second debut studio album “Life is Eazi” was released on 10th February 2017. In March 2018, several media outlets reported that Mr Eazi signed a record deal contract with Diplo’s label “Mad Decent” and also signed a licensing deal with Universal Africa, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.
Aside from music, Mr Eazi is also an entrepreneur and has several businesses. His entrepreneurial businesses include soft drinks importation, gold mining, and food distribution. During an interview with the media, he stated that he has about six different businesses. In 2014, Mr Eazi quit being a club promoter after an artist failed to show up for the largest party he attempted to throw.
Following his performance at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards, popular Nigeria musician Wizkid announced that he has signed Mr Eazi into his imprint Starboy Entertainment record label. However, Mr Eazi told Star FM Ghana in July 2017 that he is not officially signed to Starboy Entertainment. He also told Star FM Ghana that he is only in business with Starboy Entertainment own by Wizkid.
On 10th February 2017, Mr Eazi released his second debut studio album titled “Life is Eazi”. The album was initially scheduled for release on 11th February 2017. It debuted at number 4 on the Billboard World Album chart. The album comprises of 11 tracks as well as three bonus tracks with guest appearance from Tekno, Olamide, Phyno, DJ Cuppy, Falz, Big Lean, amongst others. Its production was handled by Maleek Berry, Mastercraft, Legendury Beatz and Young John. His album has sold over 200,000 copies in pre-orders worldwide within the few weeks of it release.
On 2nd December 2016, the album’s lead single “Leg Over” was produced and released by E-Kelly. The music video for “Leg Over” features cameo appearances from comedian Eddie Kadi, Maleek Berry and Wizkid.
On 1st February 2017, Mr Eazi released his second hit single “Tilapia”. It features vocals from Ghanaian hip hop artist Medikal. On 1st March 2017, Mr Eazi released his music video “In the Morning” which was directed by Sesan. The song features vocals from Toronto rapper Big Lean.
On 1st April 2017, Mr Eazi released another music video “Fight” which was directed by Teekay. The song for “Fight” features additional vocals from DJ Cuppy. On 7th April 2017, Mr Eazi released the music video for his hit single “Business”, a song that features vocals from Mugeez of R2Bees.
Mr Eazi is popularly known for pioneering Banku music, a sound characterized by percolating rhythms and laid-back vocal delivered in Ghanaian Pidgin English. Mr Eazi’s music largely fits into the category of Afrobeats, a contemporary West African pop genre that marries global pop, highlife and hip hop.
In 2013, he released his first debut studio album “About to Blow” with several hit singles banging on the airwaves. In 2017, he released his second debut studio album “Life is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos” with several hit singles banging on the airwaves.
Mr Eazi in the cause of his career as an artiste has won several awards which include Best New Artiste, Viewers Choice, Listeners Choice and Song of the Year at the Soundcity MVP Awards. He has also won the award for Next Rated at the Headies Awards and Best African Act at the MOBO Awards.
Mr Eazi is currently one of the richest and most influential artist in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million.
