The MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy which is aimed to ignite Africa’s creative industries by giving a 12-month educational programme and training to deserving young and talented Africans who want to work and innovate in the film and television production. The MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy students will be provided with skills sets to develop their talent, connect with industry professionals and tell authentic African stories through a comprehensive curriculum comprising of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in cinematography, acting, editing, audio production, directing, film production, scriptwriting and storytelling.

The Call for Entry into the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy is currently on and will close on 5th July 2018. Successful applicants will have an exciting opportunity to hone their television and film production skills in the company of industry experts during the one year-long programme training that will begin on 1st October 2018.
Africa’s leading video entertainment and internet company, Multichoice, has announced a fully-funded 12-month training programme for African filmmakers through the Multichoice Talent Factory Academy. The fully-funded educational programme is aimed at furnishing African filmmakers with the skills needed to work and innovate in film and television production.
The programme will take place at the West African country regions. However, the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy for Nigeria is based in Lagos, Nigeria and will be overseen by acclaimed local film and television industry experts in Nigeria.
However, Nigerian filmmaker and Director of MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy in Nigeria, Femi Odugbemi has stated that the Multichoice Talent Factory Academy is the most exciting intervention in the African creative industries till date. There have been trainings on the structure of business, distribution and other areas that the academy offers.
According to his words; “I urge all current and aspiring filmmakers to take advantage of this huge opportunity provided by Multichoice and apply for the program. It is indeed a huge opportunity to ignite Africa’s Film and Television industry and you don’t want to miss out on this.” he said.
Following the adjudication process, successful and qualified applicants in Africa will be selected to hone their television and film production skills in company of industry experts during the one year-long programme that will begin on 1st October 2018.
However, applications and entries for the Multichoice Academy will close by 6PM on 5th July 2018. All aspiring young film and television creative minds and aspiring filmmakers can submit their entries on https://multichoicetalentfactory.com/ before the deadline which is on Thursday, 5th July 2018.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAMME:
Step 1: Go to https://multichoicetalentfactory.com/ and register your details with an active email account. Then go to your inbox and wait for a verification email.
Step 2: Once you have received the verification email, click on the link which will take you back to the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy official website, where you will then click on the “Apply” tab to start the application process.
Step 3: Once the Apply tab opens, fill in all the required information in all the fields. Do not forget to save each stage so that your information remains available to you. Also make sure you include/upload all the necessary and required documentation. Please note that the Format for documents upload is “PDF” or “Word doc”.
Step 4: Click Save and Complete the application process.
Step 5: That is the end. You will get an email in your inbox to confirm successful registration.
