My suffering, my pain, my sweat, Yinka Ayefele cried out as his new FM and Music House worth N800 million naira is demolished by the Oyo State Government. The Oyo State Government in Nigeria has finally demolished the property belonging to Nigerian popular Juju musician Yinka Ayefele.
The property which is a Music House building own by Yinka Ayefele was demolished despite protest by staff and fans of the musician. The property which was estimated to worth over N800 million naira and houses the popular Fresh FM Ayefele’s music studio in Ibadan, Oyo State in the south western part of Nigeria.
The building which is located along ChallengeToll Gate Express Way houses Ayefele’s radio station, Fresh FM, Ibadan. The building which Yinka Ayefele claimed was worth about 800 million Naira was demolished on Sunday 19th August 2018 around 6 AM in the morning.
Before the demolition Daily Post recalls that the Oyo State Government had earlier issued a demolition notice to the owner of the property claiming that some part of the building was not approved.
But, Yinka Ayefele while reacting to the issue said the construction of the Music House followed due process. He had also approached an Oyo State High Court in Ibadan on the condition that the government does not have any right to demolish his property.
During an interview with the media Yinka Ayefele stated that the demolition of his building and property is politically motivated.
