Due to the insecurity situation in the country, leaders of the Igbo ethnic nationalities in Nigeria (Ohanaeze Ndigbo) yesterday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to wake up to his responsibility, warning that the country is presently collapsing and will soon fade away if the insecurity situation in the country is not addresses.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, through its President, Prof. George Obiozor, stated that there was need for the re-negotiation of Nigeria’s unity.
Also, the Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, through its National Leader, Ayo Adebanjo, called for absolute overhaul of the current 1999 constitution which he said was in favor of Northern Nigeria against the Southern Nigeria.
The two regional groups tabled their grievances at an event organised by Youths Off The Streets Initiative.
