Nigerian Former Vice President Alex Ekwueme Collapse and Goes into Comma

The former Vice President of Nigeria in the second republic, Dr. Alex Ekwueme has collapse and is immediately rushed to the hospital in Enugu state. The 85 year old is said to be at the intensive care unit of Memfy’s Hospital for Neurosurgery in Enugu state. However, according to our reliable source, there are plans to fly him abroad for treatment.

According to report, Dr. Ekwueme collapsed around 2 am at his residence in Independent Layout, Enugu and has since been rushed to Memfys Hospital for Neurosurgery in the state.

This bad news came barely 10 days after he celebrated his 85th birthday in which president Muhammadu Buhari was in attendant and congratulated him on his 85th birthday.

However, in a statement sent to journalists by Buhari spokesman, Femi Adesina, President Buhari said Dr. Ekwueme’s life journey had been a narrative of immeasurable grace, courage and candour.  Dr. Alex Ekwueme family stated that he went into coma soon after he collapsed.

Meanwhile, the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi broke down in tears on seeing Ekwueme in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital on Tuesday 31st October, 2017. It was reported that the governor could not control his emotion as he wailed uncontrollably.

Recently, Oseloka Obaze who is the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Anambra state governorship election, have decided to chose the daughter of Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Barrister Chidi Ekwueme Onyemelukwe as his running mate.

We all pray for the quick recovery of Nigerian second republic Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
