Following reports from Naija News On Wednesday, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has accused Arewa political leadership of creation of the Fulani bandits. Nnamdi Kanu stated this as he was reacting to the recent attack on Boko Haram in Maiduguri.
He explained that the explosion had claimed the lives of ten persons and that a total number of 47 persons sustained injuries from the incident.
Reports of the number of casualties stated above was confirmed to the state Governor, Babagana Zulum by the hospital officials where the casualties were taken to. Furthermore, reports have it that the incident started at about 7:00 pm as gunshots and explosions near the Gomari area of the state were confirmed by its inhabitants.
And more so, the sounds of the gunshots were heard some distance away from the place of the incident. Nnamdi Kanu reacting in a post on his official Twitter page, expressed that the Fulani bandits were created by Arewa to subdue and oppress the peace of the south.
He explained that the motive for creation of Arewa has backfired against them, he affirm his claim as he quoted William Shakespeare “The evil that men do lives after them” and concluded by saying that his intentions are genuine to bring protection, peace and unity among his people.
