Nse Ikpe-Etim is a famous Nollywood actress, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. She was born on 21st October 1974 in Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria. She is currently 43 years old. Nse Ikpe-Etim is the first child in a family of six children. She is originally from Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria, but was born and bred in Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria.
She is very beautiful, creative, gifted, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. She knows how to interpret her roles very well and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers.
Nse Ikpe-Etim attended Awa Nursery School and Command Primary School in Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Nse Ikpe-Etim attended St Louis College in Jos, Plateau State and later was transferred to Federal Government Colleges, Jos in Plateau State in the northern part of Nigeria to complete her secondary school education.
Nse Ikpe-Etim finally completed her secondary school education in Federal Government Colleges, Ilorin, Kwara State in the western part of Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate. After completing her secondary school education, Nse Ikpe-Etim proceeded to University of Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts.
During an interview with the media, she stated that her family was often transferred to various regions of Nigeria due to her father’s career with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
On 14th February 2013, Nse Ikpe-Etim got married to her childhood friend Clifford Sule at a Lagos registry. A traditional wedding ceremony followed in her hometown in Akwa Ibom State and the white wedding took place in Lagos State, both in Nigeria respectively. Nse Ikpe-Etim currently resides in London, United Kingdom with her husband, who is a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University in London, United Kingdom. She always returns to Nigeria whenever she has a movie to shot.
At the age of 18 years old, Nse Ikpe-Etim started acting on stage while still at the University of Calabar. Her first television appearance was in the family soap drama “Inheritance” which aired on the network service of NTA. Nse Ikpe-Etim joined the Nigeria movie industry (Nollywood) in 2003 and acted in her first movies “Emotional Crack” and “Venom of Justice”.
After her graduation from the university she temporarily left the film industry to venture in other businesses before making a comeback to Nollywood with Emem Isong blockbuster movie “Reloaded” alongside with Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo and Desmond Elliot.
In 2008, Nse Ikpe-Etim rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Reloaded” produced by Emem Isong. In 2014, she won the award for Best Actress in a Drama at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role as “Nse” in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Journey to Self”. After which she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in Reloaded and Mr. and Mrs. Respectively. After which she won the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Nollywood Movie Awards.
Nse Ikpe-Etim has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include Devil in the Detail, Phone Swap, Fifty, Journey to Self, The Meeting, Venom of Justice, Emotional Crack, Reloaded, Bursting Out, Guilty Pleasures, Memories of My Heart, Kiss and Tell, Black November, Broken, American Driver, Heaven’s Hell, etc. She acts mostly as a house wife in romantic movies alongside with Majid Michel, Joseph Benjamin, Mike Ezuruonye, Yul Edochie, Ken Erics, Nonso Diobi, John Dumelo, Van Vickers and other top Nollywood celebrities.
Nse Ikpe-Etim in the cause of her acting career has won several awards which include Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Revelation of the Year (female) at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Actress Film/Short Story at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Lead Actress of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the ZAFAA Awards, Best Actress of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Afro Hollywood Awards, Best Actress in Nigeria at the Golden Icon Movie Academy Awards, Best African Collaboration of the Year at the Ghana Movie Awards and Best Actress in TV Series/Drama at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Nse Ikpe-Etim is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $600,000.
