Orji Uzor Kalu Denies Instructing DSS Not To Feed Nnamdi Kanu

The former governor of Abia state and chief whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has reacted to claims that he told the Department of State Service (DSS) not to feed the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. How can I say such a thing he stated during press briefing.

The Senator took to his official Facebook page to debuke the statement saying that any attempt made to pitch him against his kinsmen will always fail and that he will not cease to respond to hate with love. News has it that When Senator Orji Uzor Kalu visited DSS and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he told the DSS to stop giving Nnamdi Kanu food and Nnamdi Kanu has been living without food since then ”

The former Abia state governor explained that his distractors will not hesitate to use any of his actions against him. He also went ahead to say that if he didn’t visit, people would still talk. My sympathy goes to those who believe and spread such false reports generated by liars.

Following his visit to the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is currently remanded in DSS custody for alleged crime against the Federal Government of Nigeria, Orji Uzor Kalu has become a topic of discussion. There have been a lot of things said about the visit made by the former governor of Abia state to the IPOB leader.

Meanwhile, the Abia State former Governor and Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu has spoken to the general public to disregard the false claim about him which are been circulated on social media, accusing him to have ordered the Department of State Service, DSS to deny the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, food and water.

It is no longer news that the IPOB leader is currently detained on the order of Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over charges of treasonable felony and terrorism leveled against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

However, according to reports from multiple sources, Nnamdi Kanu had accused the security officials of starving him in the DSS facility in Abuja. Nnamdi Kanu who spoke through his younger brother, Prince Kanu stated that the DSS wanted him to die of hunger and that is why they denied him food and water. Nnamdi Kanu younger brother Prince Emmanuel Kanu was engaged on a routine visit to the detained IPOB leader and also made it known that Nigeria secret police had denied him his medical test report after collecting his blood sample for more than 21 times and also denied him food and water.

Away from that, the Chief Whip of the Senate and Abia State former governor, Senator Orji Kalu, has cleared himself on the issue through a statement made available by him, as obtained by our reliable source on Tuesday, Orji Uzor Kalu had termed the purported claim linked to him as a big fat lies and cheap propaganda to put up cheap and selfish political points.

In his words, Orji Uzor Kalu stated; “They are giving cheap lies against me. When I visited Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody, Nnamdi Kanu has since before I visited been living without food. My take is that whatever one does, people would have something to talk about. If you don’t visit, they will still point fingers at you.

But more sympathetic to me is those that believe and put up any cock and bull story. The enemies are trying to create hatred between me and my kinsmen, but it will not work, it is a pure waste of time. My people love me and I love them too. I will always respond to hate with love,” Orji Uzor Kalu stated.
