Our Professors May Have To Work In Togo Bakeries If Nigeria Breaks Up – Lai Mohammed Warns

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has come out once again to make a controversial speech. This time around he cautioned the elites who are agitating and calling for the break-up of Nigeria. He made it known that if Nigeria breaks up now, some of our professors may be left with no option than to work in bakeries in Togo just to be able to eat.

The information Minister made this known while speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The Minister further stated that what Nigeria is presently passing through is more with elites and not with the common people. He further made it known that the elites ought to take the lead in cementing the unity of the country, but instead they are preaching tribal hatred.

He further made it clear that Nigeria accounts 70 Percent of the West African population, and if Nigeria disintegrates today, we will overrun Togo, Benin Republic and other West African countries.

For me I think if the government doesn’t want Nigeria to divide, they should do the needful by treating all Nigerians equally. No one is more important in Nigerian than the other. We are all equal and once we all are treated equally, all these agitations will be a thing of the past. But it is unfortunate that some people are treated with respect in Nigeria while some are treated as rags.
