Peter Obi Reveals How He Will Handle Nnamdi Kanu And Sunday Igboho When He Becomes President

The Former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential flag bearer of Labour Party, Peter Obi was invited to a radio station to answer series of questions many Nigerians have asked in regards to the changes he will make when he becomes the President of Nigeria. It was at this moment that Peter Obi stated how he will handle Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Sunday Igboho, leader of the Yoruba agitation if he becomes president.

According to Peter Obi, he sees the likes of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho as agitators. He went on to mention that when he becomes president, the right thing to do is to invite these agitators for a peaceful dialogue. He will listen to their views and work on what their problems are.

However, he stated that he draws a line when it comes to agitation and that is when those who are agitating begin to kill or destroy things in the society. He made it clear that if those who are agitating kills or destroys, then they are criminals and he cannot have any kind of dialogue with criminals.

According to his words; “When you speak of agitation, you talk about people like Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho. Agitation can only be dealt with by dialogue. I will try to listen to what these agitators have to say and work on their problems.

“However, I do not support killing and destruction all because of agitation. When killing and destruction is involved then you will be treated like a criminal and I do not dialogue with criminals. I punish criminals instead”, he said.
