Promise Odika is an upcoming Nollywood actor, producer and a television personality. He was born on 20th February 1986 in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria to the family of Mr. and Mrs J.A Odika. He is currently 32 years old. He is popularly known for acting in sorrowful movies.
He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.
Promise Odika was born and raised in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
He started acting at a very tender age while still in primary school and joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2000 as a child actor. In 2001, he rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Onye-Eze” where he played the role of a child who lost his mother and is been maltreated by his step mother.
Promise Odika is popularly known for his ability to cry in movies. He acts mostly in sorrowful movies alongside with Hilda Dokubo, Nkeru Sylvanus, Chinwe Owoh and a host of other top Nollywood celebrities.
Promise Odika has acted in more than 80 Nollywood movies which include Onye-Eze, The Catechist, Blood for Blood, The Lost Half, Princess Heart, etc. Aside from acting, promise Odika is also a movie producer and has produced several movies under his production name “African Child Entertainment”.
Promise Odika in the cause of his career as an actor has been nominated for few awards which include Most Promising Act to Watch at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Promise Odika is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $50,000.
