Ray Emodi is a fast rising Nollywood actor, model and a media personality. He is known for his tendency to play the role of a play boy in romantic films. He rose to fame following his role in the movie Heaven on My Mind, where he plays the lead role alongside prolific Nollywood talents such as Ini Edo and Uche Jombo. He was born on 4th September 1990 in the coal city of Enugu in the south eastern part of Nigeria. He is currently 32 years old. His father, Okey Emodi is a medical doctor while his mother, Joy Emodi, is a Nigerian politician who once represented the Anambra North Constituency of Anambra State.

Although Ray Emodi was born and raised in Enugu State, Nigeria, he is originally a native of Anambra State. Looking at his physical features, Ray Emodi stands at 1.9 meters or 193 centimeters above the ground, estimated to be six feet four inches. He holds Nigerian citizenship by birth and belongs to the Igbo ethnic group, with his ancestry traceable to Anambra State, Nigeria. He has black hair, a pair of black eyes, and black skin color.

He is well known for his romantic role in movies. He is tall, dark, and handsome with one of the best body in Nollywood. Ray Emodi is talented, and hard-working. He has managed to carve a niche for himself in the make-belief industry.

Ray Emodi started his career in the Nigerian entertainment industry as a musician after his education and released his first debut single titled “Night Time” in 2016. The song was produced Austin Fig and features Nigerian singer Jim Ouma. After which he release another single titled “Give Her a Ring,” featuring Nigerian singer Shakar El.

Ray Emodi ventured into Nollywood in 2017 and rose to limelight in 2018 following his appearance as the lead character in the 2018 Nollywood blockbuster movie “Heaven On My Mind” which he starred alongside with Ini Edo, Femi Adebayo and Mercy Aigbe.

Ray Emodi in the cause of his acting career has received the following awards; The Revelation of the Year Award at the City People Movie Award, Best Upcoming Actor of the Year at the 2018 City People Movie Award and Best New Actor of the Year. He has appeared in over 50 Nollywood movies which include; Caught in Between, You don’t say, Heaven On My Mind, God’s Own Villa, Divorce Scheme, Animus, The Other Wife, A Daughter’s Dilemma, The Vendor (2018), Just a Sin, Happy Endings, and many more.

Ray Emodi is neither married nor has kids. He is very much single. However, he has been rumored to have been romantically involved with his female colleagues, including Onyii Alex, Ebube Nwagbo, Destiny Etiko, and Nancy Isime.
