Robert Kiyosaki is a famous American business philosopher, motivational speaker, financial counselor, entrepreneur, investor, author, writer, financial knowledge activist and a philanthropist. He was born on 8th April 1947 in Hilo, Hawaii in the United States of America. He is currently 71 years old. He is truly a multi-talented personality.

He is very popular for his series of books called Rich Dad Poor Dad. Robert Kiyosaki is a Yonsei generation of Japanese American who was born in Hilo, Hawaii in the United States of America. Robert Kiyosaki is the eldest son in the family. His father’s name is Ralph H. Kiyosaki, he is an academic and educator while his mother’s name is Marjorie O. Kiyosaki, she is a registered nurse.

Robert Kiyosaki has two sisters named Emi and Beth and a brother named John. Robert Kiyosaki attended Hilo High School and graduated in 1965. After graduation from high school, Robert Kiyosaki received congressional nominations from Senator Daniel K. Inouye to enroll for the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Robert Kiyosaki chooses to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy in New York City and graduated in 1969 as a deck officer with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree and a Commission as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Marine Corps. After graduating from college, Robert Kiyosaki attended University of Hawaii at Hilo but dropped out. He decided to take a job with Standard Oil’s tanker office as a third mate.

Six months later, Robert Kiyosaki resigned from the job to join the Marine Corps, serving as a helicopter gunship pilot during Vietnam War in 1972, where he was awarded an Air Medal. In 1973, Robert Kiyosaki enrolled in a two-year MBA program at the University of Hawaii at Hilo while he was still in the military. In June 1974, Robert Kiyosaki was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps. He took a job as a sales associate for Xerox until June 1978.

In 1974, Robert Kiyosaki attended the Erhard EST Seminars, which he says changed his life. In 1977, Robert Kiyosaki started a company called “Rippers”. The company brought to market the first nylon and velcro surfer wallets. Robert Kiyosaki and his products were featured in Runner’s World, Gentleman’s Quarterly, Success Magazine and Playboy.

Robert Kiyosaki is the founder of the Rich Dad Company, a private financial education company that provides personal finance and business education to people through books and videos. The company’s main revenues come from Franchises of the Rich Dad seminars that are conducted by independent people using Kiyosaki’s brand name for a fee.

Robert Kiyosaki is also the creator of the Cashflow board and software games to educate adults and children the important of cash flow, investment in business and financial concepts. Robert Kiyosaki’s seminars in the United States of America and Canada are conducted in collaboration with a company called Elite Legacy Education and are contracted out to local companies as affiliations in other countries.

Robert Kiyosaki as an author has written more than 26 books, including the international self-published personal finance book Rich Dad Poor Dad, a book that won the New York Times Best Seller for several months. His Rich Dad series of books has been translated into 51 languages and sold over 27 million copies worldwide.

However, Robert Kiyosaki has been criticized for advocating the practices of debatable legality perceived as “get rich quick” philosophy. Robert Kiyosaki is currently married to Kim, who had already invested in some real estate in Phoenix in the United States of America.

In 1992, Kiyosaki brought out his first book, If You Want to Be Rich and Happy, Don’t Go to School. In his book, he encouraged parents not to send their children to college and instead to enter the real estate business. The book and its message also appealed to a number of youngsters who dropped out of college based on the advice given in the book and earned Robert Kiyosaki spots in popular talk shows where he propagated his message.

In 1997, Robert Kiyosaki launched the Cashflow Technologies, a business and financial education company that owns and operates the Rich Dad and Cashflow brands. In 1985, Robert Kiyosaki and his friends purchased Erhard Seminars Training (EST), a company which had been known best in the United States of America for conducting controversial seminars.

The new owners rebranded EST as a business education company teaching entrepreneurship, investing, personal development and social responsibility. In 2016, Robert Kiyosaki endorsed and supported his best friend and a Republican candidate Donald Trump for the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections which he later won.

Robert Kiyosaki is currently one of the richest and most influential personality in the United States of America with an estimated net worth of $100 million.
